What an excellent article.

Those are 3 perfect examples of what the United States would become on a much grander scale if someone like Bernie Sanders had their way. Liberals are just unable to undestand logic or reality.

Fewer guns doesn't equal less crime (See Chicago)
Punishing the rich doesn't equal more money for the poor (See France AND Chicago)
Punishing thought and differing opinions doesn't lead to a utopia (See Mizzou)

I'm not advocating for poop swastikas of course, but Mizzou would be better served to teach their students how to live in a society in which they may not always agree with things. Young people need to under stand that real life is going to cause us all to be offended at times. Missouri and its kids failed the test of how to respond to those "offenses." And it will cost everyone up there because of it.

So true.

Idiot libs flee states like California, New York, and New Jersey because of excessively high taxes that have created a lack of jobs. They move to low-tax states like Texas, Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina.... and then slowly turn those states bluer and bluer which of course will ultimately lead to higher taxes in the future. Then they'll wonder what happened.

Why the frick is this thread still on the SEC-R? I avoid the poli board specifically to keep pontificating blowhards from all points along the political spectrum from giving me a headache with their dubious grasp of causality and real-world conditions and hyperwillingness to blame everything on the people they don't agree with regardless of evidence, logic, or divine inspiration.

Doesn't look like the enrollment drop is nearly as big as predicted. Latest estimates are a freshman class only 600 smaller than last year mostly due to education funding cuts.

Funding wasn't cut but raised according to a post-dispatch article I read yesterday.

Inaccurate article. Funding hasn't been cut by the state and numbers aren't down nearly as much as was predicted. Oh and BTW, alumni have stepped up, meaning this is going to be one of the biggest donation years of all time. Move on haters.

Worthless, nihilist, anarchists who just want to burn everything down and drag society down.

What they really want is to destroy everything so they can drag the rest of society down to their level of sloth and loserdom, therefore normalizing being a loser.

Why does any university need to operate dorms? A bunch of OT ballers could run cheap apartments and use major tax breaks in the process.

I would be curious to see if they lowered the standard to get in so they could get the enrollment numbers up.

Where are all the Mizzou fans? Did they abandon the board like students abandoned UM/MU?

Do we need to evaluate shuttering the Missouri board?

Well, actually, they tried it at SCAR within weeks of it happening at Mizzou and it was squashed within 48 hours

Yep. I was working downtown those days, expecting to see some shenanigins, and there was nothing. SC handled it like pros
