Beat them less than a year ago. Hard to say that we aren't. Sumlin could be gone by January.

You guys are all about talking about things that might happen. Why don't we talk about what has happened? Pinkel is 1-1 vs Sumlin. Missouri has won 6 of 8 against Texas A&M. You have to think at some point UT will quit sucking and power will swing back to them.

Didn't Missou just beat TAMU last year? Not to mention, they also beat Ole Miss.

Just because Ole Miss decided to start indiscriminately buying recruits in 2013, you think they are suddenly relevant to a discussion of good football?

No. Let's move Auburn to the East to balance the divisions and bring back old rivalries

If the SEC ever goes to 16 teams, they need to consider moving both Alabama and Auburn to the East to protect the 2 games that we have permanent cross division rivals for:

UGA/AU- Oldest rivalry in the Deep South
Ala/UT- The 3rd Saturday in October

Example (You add the Oklahoma schools):

West:
A&M
Arkansas
LSU
Miss
Miss St
Missouri
Oklahoma
Oklahoma St.

East:
Alabama
Auburn
UGA
UT
UK
Fla
USC
Vandy

Are you Daft quoting beginning of year polls to prove who is good at football? Fact is your thread was a fail and no don't now come back to I was just trolling you bullshite. Your premise was in and of itself pure ignorance at work.

One east team hasn't even played yet. And do we need to talk about where Auburn started the beginning of the season in the Top 15 last season?

A&M is 8-6 all time vs. Missouri

the whole "6 of the last 8" is purely an arbitrary grab of games to make mizzou look good

In the East UF UGA and UT are better programs. USCe and Mizzu are practically the same but neither are in the top 3. I tried to build an argument on the imbalance based on the bottom 2 teams. So Mizzu verses TAMU is really not the point. It is UK/Vandy vs OM/MSU that is the difference maker. Granted Vandy has owned OM lately but they are not going to be long-term a better football program.

That all depends on how you're comparing them. As in overall the bottom 3 in each, or are you ranking them 1-7 East & comparing to 1-7 West. If so, how do you determine who gets what slot?

Of those programs UK has the most recent SEC title, Ole Miss and UK are roughly equivalent programs-- good when they have a QB mediocre at best otherwise, MSU probably has the edge over Vandy currently but there's no real reason to think that's permanent.

Replace Mizzou with Florida State or Clemson.

It's like some of you didn't start watching football until the 2000s. It's all cyclic. Divisions don't need to change.

there is no way you remember team strengths from before 2000 without doing a google search

Don't see that happening. More likely to add North Carolina and Virginia Tech. Then move Kentucky and Vandy?
