Are the SEC East and West teams balanced enough from top to bottom?

Can you see a time when the East will ever be as deep as the West? FL UT UGA could match AL AU LSU potentially. SC and TAMU could be on the same level. The question remains are Mizzu UK and Vandy ever going to match up to Ole Miss, MSU, and Arkansas?

Let's say Mizzu is on par with Arkansas, that leaves Vandy and UK verses MSU and Ole Miss. Vandy had a good run but it is over. UK is always going to be a basketball school IMO.

Ole Miss has yet to get to ATL and I don't know if we ever will but we have beaten FL and LSU during times when they were good. MSU had a time under Jackie but they have not maintained that level. I still think MSU has a better football program than UK and know Ole Miss has more potential in football than Vandy. What do you think? Are the East and West balanced enough and if not what should be done about it?

Nothing should be done, although I would love Alabama in the east. Two losses ends it for sec title hopes anyway. Admittedly sec west is beastly at present but you were discussing bottom teams.

Divisions are fine.

One day when the SEC goes to 16 teams, they'll do a rotating pod schedule and it will be mute.

Any team can compete for the SEC title. Some just have to do things differently with less margin for error.

Ole Miss could start by actually beating Mizzou before crying like this.

HOLY frick STICKS. This argument is ridiculous after just one week.

The east is 13-15 against the west the last two years. Not exactly western domination.

And if I recall correctly, the SEC title game has been VERY competitive the last two years.

You mean like it was for several years before this stretch of the West being strong?

It's like some of you didn't start watching football until the 2000s. It's all cyclic. Divisions don't need to change.

The issue isn't whether there are teams that can be as good as the west, the problem is they are never all good at the same time.

Some team is always melting down, imploding, or underachieving.
