I want to take this a step further... Kate Upton is a millennial so if you hate millennials you are by default hating Kate Upton... and anyone that hates Kate Upton is a lover of all things Adolf hitler... Thus all millennial haters are not only nazis and Adolph Hitler apologists but despise beautiful women.

Well, we older folks say what we mean and mean what we say. So, long, long time ago, someone told me if I would allow them to take money from me then I would get it back at a certain age. You can change the rules anytime you want. Just live by the rules you set.

Let me opt out of it today then. Oh wait I can't, because if I'm not paying into the system you won't get your check that you foolishly thought the government would send you if you gave them a collateral free loan. Guess what old guy, the politicians that you elected spent your money to convince you to re-elect them. And like a dog on a chain you let them lead you right into this mess.

Hell keep what I've already paid but Please just allow me to save for my retirement without having to pay for yours as well.

Yep all my fault. You sound angry. However, you do realize that probably 1% of the adult population has the discipline to start saving at an early age for retirement. I thought all of you young folk were socialists and were all for government taking care of you.

It was instituted by our second socialist president in 1937. Kind of hard to undo after 80 years. I didn't like paying into the stupid thing for 35 years either, but they made me.

I haven't read the entire thread, so please tell me that we have a Sovereign Citizen on tRant.

Who would be your nominee for a Sovereign Citizen if we did have one? One of the crazier Tennessee fans could fill that role, I think

It's not hard to undo and I'm not arguing it should be undone. I'm arguing that they should move the draw date on it out from 62 to at least 67 or 70. And, they should implement it in 7-10 years to give people time to adjust. But basically having people be retired for 30 years and expecting to draw on Social Security is stupid and one of our biggest long term economic anchors, but we can't touch it because people freak the fvck out and politicians exploit it.

You actually need to be more concerned about the unsustainable cost of Obamacare.

SS and Medicaid were problems long before Obamacare.

Entitlements (including the newly minted Obamacare) are the massive, by far, largest drivers of bloated budgets and deficits. They take money away from things the government SHOULD be involved in spending money on (infrastructure, for one, as well as the military, which we spend money on anyway). They aren't even rational anymore, but it's impossible to fix.

Obamacare is going escalate at a much faster and almost unpredictable rate than the others but yes, they are all massive. They aren't impossible to fix but it's going to take a business approach and enough people with the balls to enforce those business decisions without regard to election consequences. So - mutually exclusive traits, so yeah, we are screwed. I could afford less benefits but some people, SSI is all they have. Fraud and abuse are killing M & M. We we created the monsters so I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

You really, and I can't stress this enough, you really don't know how far that is from the truth.

But, when it comes to SSI and Medicare - I just want what I paid for. Pretty simple.

Analysis of generations that is then specifically targeted in regards to habits, behaviors, beliefs, work ethic, likes, dislikes, etc? Ridiculous. Consulting firms and making cash hand over fist and laughing all the way to the bank on this sort of nonsense from big company boards and executives.

Yes. There are BCG consultants that do make a killing embracing and implementing millennial trends in the work place for Baby Boomers still in the work force. It has been a pretty significant trend.

Yes they are ruining message boards. Not only here but the other boards as well. When I see what are supposed to be grown arse men watching Supergirl and calling it one of the best comic book adaptions they've ever seen, that's what I knew the TV board had been infected as well.

I mean take the skirt off ya babies.
