Which, once again, goes to prove why general assumptions of an entire generation of people are insanely idiotic.

Eh. There is pretty clear social data on shifting values. It all builds on each other. A bunch of people went off to war and when they got back they fricked like rabbits. That made the Baby Boomers. Then then had kids. Then their kids had kids. And so on and so forth. Until there is another societal transformation that's as unifying as WW2, then each generations will be less contrasted, but when you take a poll of Generation X and 85% answer one way and then 85% another, it only makes sense.

And I do think that the Internet and cell phones might be something almost as significant as WW2 was. Kids born from 2000 onwards don't know what it's like to go more than 5 hours with contact to the entire planet. They didn't run around their neighborhoods without snapchatting the entire event.

My question is why do all the old geezards call millenials snowflakes or some other dumb shite like dolts... Are they aware that their generation created them? Or are they really that facking stupid. If you don't like the way "millenials" act then you should stop interneting and try to teach your millenial kids where you facked up raising them and not to make their grandkids any stupider.

General analysis on decade long societal shifts? Sure, I agree.

Analysis of generations that is then specifically targeted in regards to habits, behaviors, beliefs, work ethic, likes, dislikes, etc? Ridiculous. Consulting firms and making cash hand over fist and laughing all the way to the bank on this sort of nonsense from big company boards and executives.

1993 onwards? I never got my first cell phone or even laptop till high school. Kids (4 year olds even) now days are given smart phones and tablets. I knew what it was like to without instant communication.

Socially formative years with a cell phone/laptop.

Not as an adult. You were still a child and had cell phones and laptops.

If you were born in 1993, that means you were 3 years old when AOL sent CD's out to every address in America (literally) and brought the internet to every single home in the country.

You have no idea what the world was like before the internet. You have not even a smidge of a memory of a pre-wired world.

By the time you were 10 years old, 70% of the US population had cell phones.

The fact you didn't have an ipad in kindergarten is irrelevant.

Of course I couldn't know what it was like before the internet but I knew what it was like to not be on the internet every freaking hour of the day. That was my point.

And so what? Even most old guys today (like some of you on here) have trouble going a long time without the internet too. It doesn't matter what you know before, some older people are just as bad about being on their phones as the younger people they complain about.
