What national "titles" before 2007?

1992?

I kind of look at it like y'all got caught late and Auburn got caught late by the NCAA in those few years. Auburn was BY FAR the better program in the '80's... Pretty even in the '90's... And before Saban, was far an away better in the early 2000's.

You don't know what you are talking about.

I know if we subtract the Saban years, you were very young and didn't really know, but c'mon.

Jesus effing christ, child...why don't you do some research? Auburn "BY FAR" the better program in the eighties? Are you really this fricking stupid? Auburn won exactly one more game during the decade. The were 6-4 in the Iron Bowl, with an average margin of victory in their six wins of 5 points. They played in 8 bowls to Alabama's 9.

And "pretty even in the 90's" ? You're an idiot. Auburn had four...count 'em, 4...losing season in the nineties, and only 72 wins. Alabama had 91 wins and won at least ten games 5 times...compared to only twice for Auburn. The Iron Bowl was 7-3 Alabama in the nineties. Auburn didn't play in a major bowl the entire decade, and went four straight years without even being in a bowl.

We're obviously debating with a fricking turnip.

Yet you can't stop yourself from talking about him.

I grew up in the eighties and nineties. Auburn had Bo, won The SEC, went to a few Sugar bowls, Cotton bowls, and had a much bigger national presence. Bama was missing bowl games, playing in Freedom bowls, Aloha bowls and Liberty bowls.

Overall, in the parameters I mentioned, Auburn was the bigger program.

Especially for LSU fans... We pretty much owned Bama in Bama. I mean, one of our worst teams in the history of LSU football beat one of those vaunted '93-'99 SECCG participant Bama teams, at Bama.

By my count, Alabama is 23-16-2 against LSU in the state of Alabama.

Forgive my math, but that is 41 games in Alabama... which extrapolates out to at least 82 total games... which goes way outside the years in which we were talking about.

I feel great about the football game.

Your mom holding out this week has me on edge.

BTW I like that sign language.

Wow, I was off by one. 9-3-1, even worse. I was 6 at the time of the LSU game that year, btw.

Another fifteen years like this and Tennessee will be seen about the same as Tulane is by us. The only people that care about beating them are almost dead anyway so who cares? Yeah gramps, I know... we hate Tulane... grrrr.
