They did?

Was the NCAA told about this?

You can claim 1958 too. Seems like you're claiming everything else.

i have never understood why auburn fans think this means something

Its just as meaningful as "back to back 10 win seasons".

LSU claims more. Not like they earned them.

Hell even the one time LSU managed to make it just one year without getting their arse kicked, AU was still the better team and true champ. That would be 1958, our 5th national championship in case you are wondering.

Auburn fans have said for years that Gus was responsible for the 2010 MNC and not Chiz. Now Auburn fans say that Gus is garbage. Do Auburn fans realize that they can only win a national championship when a once in a lifetime athlete lands in their laps for only one season? You don't have a program or tradition. You have a season.

LSU could claim 8 They claim 3. 1958 they were unanimous #1. 2003 and 2007 were BCS National titles. Not sure how they didn't earn them

Auburn has such little respect nationally that they went undefeated in teh SEC and still couldn't convince people they deserved to play for the natty.

You ought to be thanking us because that shaft job along with the prison-raping of Oklahoma in the BCSCG that same season is what focused the national college football media's eye so closely on the Southeastern Conference.

You're fricking welcome.

Of course I'll claim 1958. We were undefeated for the second year in a row.

Course LSU fans don't understand what it is like to not get their arse kicked once or more in a season. Unless they are at least 57 years old that is.

Guess you don't understand the word undefeated.

It's ok. Not like LSU fans have ever witnessed their team do it anyway. Foreign concept and all.

LSU was 11-0. Auburn was 9-0-1. No one views Auburn as the national champion in 1958

How about we talk about the most recent game? We only needed an ex-CB to play QB to rape LSU 41-7.

Only reason LSU didn't lose in 58 was they didn't play AU, the reigning national champ who went undefeatef for the second consecutive season.
