Yea, you are triggered. Unlike R Kansas, we dont have to wait until they are 5th year seniors to produce.

Bookmark this thread for sure. Chaisson is a freak.

He is. It's worth noting too that it's not just Chaisson. That's arguably the deepest spot on the defense.
In addition to Chaisson, RS FR Ray Thornton and 6th year SR Corey Thompson will play a lot on the edge in Key's absence.

Not long enough. I want to say around 6 weeks ago but I may be off a bit.
On the surface this looks like screw up by LSU coaches and medical staff, he should have had the surgery right after the bowl game. OTOH there are other moving parts to this story and I'm certain that played a part in timing of the surgery, one of which it was felt the shoulder would heal with rest and it didn't.

Maybe so...with the transition to the 3-4 we need all the bodies we can take there. Not sure which spot he would take...hypothetically

Shoulder surgery. Played through it last year, hoped it would heal on its own, it didn't, so he elected for surgery.
My grandson did the same thing. Surgery was done just after football season ended. Wasn't expected to be able to play any of the Spring sports. When he went for his 6 weeks checkup the doctor said the healing was what he would have expected at 6 months, not 6 weeks. Wasn't able to play baseball, but he was cleared to play tennis this Spring.

If Bert wouldn't start Chassion first game of the season then our HC isn't the retard, Bert is.
Come the frick on man, the guy is killing it in practice. He looks like a junior now. The size of Key at this time. He's just as fast, and possibly more power, also has a spin that is elite. Chassion is a man brah. It's not like he's playing a tough position. Mistakes can be covered up by talent at this position. You go sack the QB or you play back in space, he does both extremly well as a freshman.
We also have 4 more similar to Key and Chassion but these two are on another level. He will at least play on 3rd downs for sure in the first game.
LSU is also loaded at MLB. More long very athletic guys there. 6'3 235lb Phillips, 6'3" 240 lb Taylor, 6'1" 225lb Queen, 6'1" 245lb White, 6'1" 230lb Alexander, 6'3" 235lb Divinity.
OLB 6'4" 240lb Chassion, 6'6" 255lb Key, 6'5" 235lb Anthony, 6'4" 230lb Thornton, 6'5" 245lb Martin, 6'2" 230lb Thompson.
We are also (2) deep on our DL. One senior 5* and one sophomore 5* starting on it. Also have highly ranked 4* veterans. Glen Logan is going to surprise people. So will Herron this year. Aranda didn't really disguise anything on defense last year. That changes this year, is also focusing on TOs. Y'all can be sure that our sacks go up as well as our TOs on D.
With this versital offense combined with this crazy talented defense, LSU will make a few teams quit in the first quarter this year. Not sure who or when but they will. This team will be very very good in 2017.

Apparently Orgeron has said that Key will visit with his personal doctor - not the LSU team doctor - next week, and based on what is determined there, his doctor will tell LSU when Key will be able to play next.
This is interesting: is Key and his family a little skeptical of the LSU medical staff having his best health interests at heart??

I agree bro. No way you guys lose a game this year if everything you typed is true.

Is he a "once in a generation" talent? I'm worried Bama won't be able to handle one of those.
