This must be a mistake, right? LSU was once #2, what happened to them?

The Volunteers continued to roll with a sound sweep of LSU. While their offense is the story most weeks, it was their pitching that led the charge this weekend. Drew Beam did not allow an earned run across 6.2 innings in his start, while on Friday AJ Causey threw 4.2 scoreless innings in relief. In his return to the lineup, Billy Amick did not miss a beat as he crushed two home runs and had three RBIs. Tennessee this weekend travels to Kentucky for a top-10 showdown.

If our pitching starts to show up with our offense, we going on a deep run.

SEC baseball is ridiculous. No breaks at all week to week to week. Bama is a top 10 team if not in the SEC.

An absolutely brutal conference.

Gotta give them credit. Texas A&M is solid this year. They'll still find a way to avoid winning a Natty, but they'll beat up on some people en route to falling short.

You could pick a team from this from the conference that would compete with some minor league teams.

Now that Texas and OU is coming, it’s going to water it down a little. Be more teams like Mizzou, and Auburn.

OU and Texas coming into the fold actually dilute the talent level. Neither of those Big 12 teams even comes close to all the SEC teams. Maybe, just maybe Missouri but I think that would be a battle.

Gonna get their butts beat in next year....how much fun for everyone! And we will take a very easier weekend series to recoup and explore our young talent.

Your current 4th place standing in the "powerful" big12 will earn you a seat at the bottom in the SEC. And, we know you're OK with that.

Appreciate the kind words, especially considering y’all have all but abandoned talk of baseball this season.

Would have to double check, but I believe Texas was ranked right around where A&M was in the preseason. So they have obviously fallen well short of expectations so far this year.

But on the bright side, maybe this is the year Pierce gets the boot.

Wait…what?

ETA: Ah, didn’t catch the “regular season” part.

Stranding 4,560 men on base is what happened to them. Freaking frustrating man

No No No. Pierce needs a contract extension, If he was to leave where would all the JV baseball players in Texas play?

I had no idea that Duke was doing that well this year. Guess I need to watch more ACC baseball.

They looked Omaha good early on. I haven't seen as much from them lately, but clearly, they're still winning.

Farmer,

What is with the Irish jig in the stands this weekend? Is that a new thing?

Schott & LaViolette heard it at U of SC and decided to bring it to Olsen when we scored. It's an old Irish Folk Song. Just wait until the fans learn the lyrics.
