Mullen being not a people person + Diaz leaving + most of the better in state players wanting to play for the same school = 1 good in state recruiting class (Ole Miss) and 1 bad one(MSU).

We we're doing pretty good until we left for Jacksonville during that so called "dead period time" then we got back, it all went to hell. It beats me!

That's what I thought. They couldn't overcome losing those 2. If something happens to Miles at LSU, then I don't want Mullen here if he can't recruit better than that. State won't be able to sustain their success.

And they don't realize this kind of stuff hurts them in recruiting. This is the kind of shite CJ was talking about on facebook. This is proof that it is State fans screwing up their own cause and not "ole miss" fans acting like MSU fans.

True as well.
It set up for a perfect domino effect in our favor back in the Summer. Whitehead committed to MSU early but said repeatedly that he would go where the majority of the DD went. Snoop was never really much of a worry to go to MSU even with his commitment. Tobias was a wildcard IMHO even with the school biased towards OM.
I said all Fall that with Snoop on our said, if we can pull Tobias than all the dominos might fall our direction. IIRC, we were split on DD leans for most of last year. Snoop and Tobias coming here would more than likely turn Whitehead to play with us giving us 8 out of the Dandy Dozen.
CJ Johnson was the only real surprise IMHO. What shook him was Diaz leaving(yes...even though he committed before Diaz was hired at MSU). CJ was obviously much closer to Diaz than Mullen and Mullen wasn't able to retain CJ. Rumors of CJ started flying everywhere when he re-opened his commitment and him getting harassed by MSU fans is what sealed MSU's fate.
That gives us 9(?) out of the Dandy Dozen in Mississippi.

I realize that it's difficult to recruit to MSU(and by no means am i saying we're a recruiting power), but to have your class just fall COMPLETELY apart after a decent season is inexcusable(even though they are making tons of excuses). And the fact that they're losing these top recruits to their rival which just had the 2nd worst season in decades is even worse.
But don't go to SPS or Genespage and expect to see anything singing that tune. They're trashing these kids in one breath and the next they are blaming Ole Miss fans in disguise for trashing them under MSU names. Quite a paradox IMHO.

And no, Manny is not the reason C.J. left. That was an easy excuse for him after whatever it was that drew him to OM. It wasn't but 2 months ago, that he was talking shite about TSUN and "couldn't wait to be apart of the EGG Bowl and State was going to win next year" but yeah cj was the only one I was butthurt over... I'm getting better now.
