1 good year does not a career make, particularly not one filled with tons of lucky wins.

Let's see at least a 2nd year of success before crowning him the next hot potato.

Now it's "tons of lucky wins".

Lucky wins?

Tell us about them.

A 10 point dog that most had losing by 20 points and he almost staves off a comeback from the heisman winner that included a 101 yard KO return? fricking please. Auburn clearly was the dominant team in the game and even my FSU fans expressed that to a degree

Auburn was up by 20 points in the fourth quarter on Georgia. Don't see how everyone forgets that UGA had just 4 yards on Auburn in the first quarter as well.

Auburn was also tied with Alabama when the kick return happened. So there is no guarantee that Alabama wins that game. With their kicker sucking donkey dick it is unlikely in OT considering they had been stalled 4 times in the redzone in the second half

Wow, if he decides to stay at Auburn he will build a Bear type dynasty. Especially with Craig there. Guy has a ton of connections.

We didn't lose 35 players this time, so I'm not really expecting it.

Pump the brakes on that one....he had a phenomenal season and Gus seems like a decent guy.....but I will have to see if he has any longevity....I keep thinking back to Terry Bowden who shot out like a rocket only to crash and burn.....

He is 48. Sky is the limit for him at AU. The Browns still want him bad and he would get JFF as his Qb. If that doesn't interest him, I feel pretty good he is gonna be with us a while.

Bowden is a good analogy. I don't think that will be the case with Gus but good analogy.

I am not suggesting Gus is Bowden 2.0.....but this conference is tougher than it's ever been and it will chew up the best of them....hell Saban is completely shaking up the staff to get the mojo back......it's tough to maintain year in and year out.....

But I am impressed with Malzahan thus far.......

Auburn was very lucky this year - they easily could have lost two more SEC games, and an average LSU team destroyed them. Let's wait a see if they have any staying power before we crown Gus as King. I predict they fall back to the middle of the pack next year.

The one thing you are correct about is that they lost to an average LSU team. Keep in mind AU did this with a QB who was on campus one month before the season started, with a defense that had some major holes. Can you imagine what they will do with Marshall going through Spring Practice, Freshman going thru a College S&C Program and the possible emergence of another WR than Coates. Sprinkle in the incoming Freshman with 30 Sr and we will see if they are Middle of the Pack next year.

I would take the Auburn job over the Browns job all day everyday. He's set up for failure there. The owners just fired a first year head coach. He has security at Auburn.
