Worst football experience I've ever had was in that stadium the last time South Carolina was there. What a complete dump. They need to tear it down.
I can't believe UAB will still be using that place when their football program starts up again.
...no, I will not be going.

Incorrect. Ole Miss was 9-3 and Oklahoma State 10-2 headed into last year's Sugar Bowl. They both finished 10-3.
Wrong.
The 2016 Auburn Tigers finished 8-4 and made it to the Sugar Bowl.

I actually worry large parts of Legion Field are no longer structurally sound.
It is a shame to see what has become of it.
A lot of great games were played there in the past.

Just play the Birmingham Bowl in the Hoover baseball stadium...at least the game will sell out.

I do not know if they will ever do it, but a good compromise to me seems to put in a small stadium if they ever tear down the BJCC.
That thing is getting pretty old as well. It is a shame because downtown has done some pretty good stuff on 1st-4th Ave North, I moved but heard the Lyric Theater looks really good now and there was talk of the Pizitz Building being renovated as well as the old Copa Cabana(Thomas Jefferson Building). I am not sure if either of those can be saved -- especially TJ building, but it would be great to see them restored. Hell that TJ building still had part of the landing for dirigibles last time I checked.
But yeah, Legion Field is just a money sink. Too expensive to fix for what is done at the location.

They've already put forth plans to put a stadium over there without removing BJCC IIRC. A Top Golf is going over there as well. No word on if it will happen, but I loved the design.

Starting qb was injured. Not enough talent on the team to overcome that fact.

interestingly enough, a few years ago, Alabama lost its last game and backed into a sugar bowl thanks to Auburn

It amazes me how well he manipulates that fanbase

And the bowl game will be played on January 2nd, 2017....

The stadium is structurally fine. It's just in a shitty neighborhood.
