It's bowls like this that diminish the bowl season. Me and grandson will not be watching

Yep, I would really be looking forward to the Sugar Bowl if the Birmingham Bowl didn't exist. But since it does, the Sugar Bowl is just diminished for me.

When was the last time an 8-4 team made it to the Sugar Bowl?

These bowls are also hurting the economy. If people just stayed home and watched them on tv then the tv networks wouldn't be going bankrupt

The Sugar Bowl doesn't mean a damn thing since the Birmingham Bowl still exists.

Most any other year in the SEC and Auburn is playing at noon in a Florida based bowl. Gus lost his last two SEC games of the season and backed into the Sugar bowl. It amazes me how well he manipulates that fanbase. They go from hating hm to loving him week to week. Lashlee appears to be good at it too.

I am planning to go but didn't buy tickets. Not sure if they'll have the box office open. I'm guessing demand will be very low, so I'm not sure scalpers will even bother. So, I'm not sure I'll be able to get a ticket at this point.

You mean the fanbase acts like any other fanbase when their team is woefully inconsistent? No way!

Not our fault the rest of the SEC sucks too.

We are aware. It still counts though. Most Auburn folks realize next year is the year Gus Bus can't make any excuses about lacking position players.

Incorrect. Ole Miss was 9-3 and Oklahoma State 10-2 headed into last year's Sugar Bowl. They both finished 10-3.

I think I'll go, as long as it isn't raining.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about this year's Sugar Bowl (the 2016 season).
