most commonly, in an embarrassing bowl loss.

Come on. We've lost 1 in the past 5 or so years, and it was only by 3 to WVU. Is that really embarassing?

Your anger just shows that I have struck a nerve.

4 SEC teams have won national championships in the last 20 years, but UGA has not even made it to a championship game. Auburn hasn't either, but you could argue seriously that they should have when they turned in an undefeated season this past decade.....

Considering that, with the exception of UF, you have what is probably the best set-up of any school in the SEC (minimal in-state competition for recruits and fans in a state with a much larger population than any in the region except Florida, at least as many financial resources as any SEC school except Florida, and a relatively favorable location--very near to Atlanta, the "capital of the South"), that is a pretty paltry record, in my opinion......

Props to coming back in that game, but WVU was tapping that arse early in the game.

Also if Georgia can get a break on the injuries, this looks like the deepest and most talented offensive line since our SEC championship year in 2002.

And most of the bowl wins have not been that impressive, plus I remember an embarrassing loss to Boston College one year in the Music City bowl.

It doesn't happen every year, but enough to be noticeable.....and in years when it is not an embarrassing bowl loss, it seems to be another butt-thumping at the hands of the Gators or something......always, something.....

Well, that doesn't speak well of your opinion.

If Ole Miss had been as successful as UGA has under Richt, you'd be even more of a insufferable prick. Just look how you're acting after a mediocre year of 9-4.

They'll do OK, but I'm thinking prob. 10-2 or 9-3. Prob. losses to Florida and LSU (I hope), possibly another loss or two depending on QB play, etc. KC.

you really are misguided here reb.

What constitutes an impressive bowl win? in bowls a win is a win.

nothing 'embarrassing' about the loss to BC. Richt's first year, evenly matched teams, 8+ years ago. i know you'd come up with something better if you could.

as far as competing for a NC we've finished 2nd and 3rd in the last few years. that sounds like being in the mix to me.

i'm not even gonna mention ole miss ineptitude.
