What makes you assume this? Which of the 4 Elite 11 QBs on campus are you talking about? Do you think all 4 will suck arse?

Richt is a good QB tutor... I wouldn't be too worried about it if I was a UGA fan. The difference this year is UGA's QB won't have the physical talent or the experience Matthew Stafford brought to the table.

That's not outstide the realm of possiblilty.
Guarantee none are better than Matthew Stafford.

i doubt o is a problem for uga. even if cox sucks aj green is a beast so he can make him look better.

plus they have a legit stable of backs.

I would be much more worried about d if I was an uga fan.

Is there any program that has been more overrated in history?

Under Richt:

UGA has finished the season ranked higher than they started it in:
2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007

quote:

Georgia has not competed seriously for a national championship in nearly 30 years and the only one they won back then was because Hershel Walker was such a dominant college player.

Ole Miss hasn't seriously competed for an SEC Championship since the 60s...

quote:

Georgia is always good, but never great....and that never seems to change, no matter who the coaches and players are....

Sugar bowls and SEC Championships are no longer "great" to Ole Siss fans?

We never seem to change? We didn't win the SEC (or play in the SECC) from 1982 - 2002. We've played for it 3 times since. Winning 2.

UGA won 10 games 2 times between 1983 and 2002. We've won 10 or more 6 times since 2002.

You might be calling it like you "see it", but it's hard to see with your head up your arse, imo.

It'll be hard for anyone to have the talent of Stafford, but UGAs QB will likely have a better year than Staff did in 2006 or 2007. I'd bet even money they complete a higher percentage of passes than he did in 2008.

We'll have solid QB play this year.

I disagree. A decade or so ago, the SEC East was clearly superior to the West. As things stand now, I think the West is clearly superior to the East, although the Gators are still probably the team to beat, overall.....

Hell, up until 3 or 4 years ago, the East was clearly better than the West.

Right now, The West has 4 teams competing for the Division crown, and the East has 2, at most.

We're all hoping it was injuries (and there were a shite ton of them) that caused the collapse last year. Willy Mart's defenses from 2005/2006/2007 were a step down from Vangorder's 2001-2004 Defenses, but 2008 was unacceptable. I think you see us back in the Top 1/4th of the SEC in defense this year.

I agree with this

UGA will actually compete if they play a little bit of D.
Last year most of the O-line was hurt.
But Defense wins championships and UGA had none last year.

Yeah, but you always trip badly somewhere along the way, whether against the Gators (a problem that we don't seem to have ), against another SEC team or, most commonly, in an embarrassing bowl loss.

Look, I wasn't comparing UGA to Ole Miss-hell, we haven't even competed seriously for an SEC championship in a long time......but the truth about Georgia is that it just does not seem to be able to get over the proverbial hump, no matter what, even though it is a good, solid program......

I would say the same thing about Auburn, by the way......

If Cox plays well then they've got a chance to have a great season, but their schedule is killer. OkSU, ASU, and Ga Tech for OOC games. Ouch.

61.4% was what Staff did last year. I think you see us play a more conservative style of offense..more dink and dunk.

yeah I'm interested to see how their defense is as well

I will tell you, though, that Rennie Curran and Reshad Jones are players

I figured that's what you were getting at, but I thought Stafford was more in the 64-65 area.

You can expect a YPA drop for sure.

What the frick are you talking about? We're 6-2 in Bowl games under Richt (2-1 in BCS bowls).

And other than AU in 2004 EVERY SEC team has tripped up during the year. Atleast we don't trip up 4/5/6/7/8 times a year like Ole Miss usually does.

Yeah, ok..we're not the best team in the Nation, but under Richt..we're sure as frick 1 of the 10 best teams in the nation..and in 2 of his 8 years we've been the best in the SEC. Damn right you aren't comparing UGA and Ole Miss. Your school, football team, everything else would look like shite if you wanted to compare it.

I would say the same thing about Auburn, by the way......

UGA under Richt:

2008 10 3
2007 11 2
2006 9 4
2005 10 3
2004 10 2
2003 11 3
2002 13 1
2001 8 4

Auburn during that time:

2008 5 7
2007 9 4
2006 11 2
2005 9 3
2004 13 0
2003 8 5
2002 9 4
2001 7 5

For shits and gigles Ole Miss:

2008 9 4
2007 3 8
2006 4 7
2005 3 7
2004 4 7
2003 10 3
2002 7 6
2001 7 4

You should really shut the frick up until you know what the frick you are talking about.

We have a DC who had 1 shitty year. Wether he's a shitty DC remains to be seen. Even your new DC savior has had some shitty years...Strong at UF had a shitty year in 2007. If WillyMart can't turn it around, we'll hire someone else.
