Good coach, no doubt.
Kind of an a-hole, always seems like he has a constipation problem and needs a good laxative.

Would you admit that Saban is not the best Game Day Coach in the business ? Something that Meyers has a reputation for being.

I'll admit that Saban isn't a great Xs and Os guy but I'm not going to admit that Meyer is the best either. You also have to manage a program. Say what you will, but the longest tenure Meyer has ever had was at Florida and he left that program with a lot of problems. So let's see Meyer sustain a program for more than 5 years before we crown him the GOAT.

Corch Urban Meyers is one hell of a recruiter too. Don't forget that.

What is the knock on Saban as a game day coach? He is a bit conservative but that's simply how he coaches. Results speak for themselves.

Regarding Urban vs Saban- one of them beat the other so bad he had to fake heart attacks....literally ran him out of the conference.

Him having fun.

Him having fun again.

And having fun one more time.

See those smiles?? How can you say he never has fun.

They are 2-2 in their last 4 meetings and the two that Saban won were BEAT downs... I'm not convinced that Urban is the better game day coach...

I see you made your obligatory, "Dear Diary", Facebook feed-esque, random thought of the day post.

He's good but he's not great. He couldn't beat you with 11 random players and drawing plays in the dirt. His advantage is recruiting, preparing, and managing. On gameday, he's a really good coach but not the best. Speaking as a Bama fan, I don't think we're great at making in-game adjustments on offense. In our losses, we have a bad habit of not sticking with what works. On defense, I think the spread/HUNH has definitely hampered Saban's advantage of being able to substitute the right players/package on defense. Saban is still an elite coach, but he does have some flaws.

As does every coach. Amazing that some people just won't admit it.

Bama fans admit anything that's not sunshine pumping is asking too much...He's a damn good coach, but his skills are falling off slowly.

Hell - none of us know the man, all we know is him as a coach and what we see from him on ESPN. If you look at it, that is his office, I am sure we all know folks that their workplace personality and their social personality differ quite a bit.

Maybe he is a dick, maybe he is not - but point is, none of us know the dude.

Since 11 random guys and plays drawn in dirt aren't required skills I guess Saban does ok.

While I tend to agree, you know there are still some trolls on this board that may even argue about that.

He's the winningest coach in the SEC by %. Top 5 in the country. Has no clue what he is doing on gameday. Makes sense

I couldn't care less about him and his persona, how he handles his family time, etc. I just care if we win and he does that. WHO CARES? I only worry about Saban from August to January.

If we ever keep a coach because players, media and other schools like him we are probably in trouble.
I think most SEC fans outside of Bama thought Shula was good guy. Same with Anthony Grant.

THIS X a fricking 10000000000000000.

I'm a professional in my office, at conferences, in meetings, amoung co-workers and fellow colleagues.

Away from work, I've got a bourbon in one hand a cigar in the other, I'm ready to grill some fine food and enjoy friends & family. Enjoy the lake/beach, entertain and feed my kids and their friends. You know....have FUN and live LIFE.
