I know a lot of details about several of these cases (the one in the OP, Bowles allegations, Rihayd Jones and Von Pearson) and I would not hesitate to call all of those money grabs.

The rest, including the AJ and MW rape charges, I don't know anything about and don't claim to. If they are guilty I would hope they are prosecuted fully.

So the girl's roommate said she lied about the whole thing and they threw it out?

So a felony sexual assault allegations in Knoxville are decided by a student advisory board?

No wonder UT is getting sued back to the stone age.

I don't know the ins and outs of the investigation but I believe her roommates and friends told a much different story to investigators than she did.

All of my info is secondhand but this story has been out there for over a year and her being included in the money grab is the only thing that's really come of it.

Universities themselves are required by law to conduct these investigations if they occur on campus. How familiar are you with title ix?

Do you ever stop and think, "Wow, if it weren't for the colors on their jerseys I wouldn't be defending these thugs?"

No.

I think most Vol fans on this board would tell you I'm probably the least homerific fan on this board when it comes to UT football.

I am not a big Butch fan and I certainly don't buy in to most of the hoopla surrounding the program.

The reason I've posted about these specific cases is because I am much more familiar with some of them than what's been released in public and I think it's terrible the way some of these guys have been skewered when there are serious holes in some of these accusations and none of them have been proven guilty.

The Crowder thing and AJ/MW I don't pretend to know anything about and I don't give a damn about those guys. Same with all the others mentioned in the case outside of John Doe/Pearson/Jones. I have no idea what happened and if they're guilty I hope they rot.

If you start accusing volfan30 of being a sunshine pumping Jones apologist, the titty gods will strike you down.

That's Anita fricking Wadhwani's goal in life. To make UT players all seem like lawbreaking, women-disrespecting, thug pieces of shite. She's been writing horrifically biased articles like this since the Fulmer era. Her personal agenda against UT football is well known.

OP is repeating one of the allegations from the lawsuit that was filed weeks ago and presenting it as 'new.'

All of this cant be just a money grab. Where there is a huge of cloud of smoke...theres fire folks.

I dont pretend to be unaware that a lot of women are very hostile when things go south in a relationship of anykind. Guys have to be careful and avoid whackos....but we all know that we sometimes think with the wrong brain.

Athletes historically have been given leeway that other students dont enjoy. I remember a high school lineman at my high school spitting at a girl and getting no penalty even though witnessed by more than a few students.

The moral of the story is treat women with respect and be careful of who you spend time with and drunk women have to be especially viewed as radioactive.

I want UF to part ways with a player if the athlete is guilty of beating up a woman and especially assaulting one. Dont need the win at costs attitude.

You really don't know this or something similar happens at EVERY school?

That's a Title IX requirement. They must set up an alternative justice system yet they don't have to follow the rules of the real justice system. One of the things they are suing UT over is the fact that unlike most other schools they have the audacity to let the accused be represented by legal counsel. Imagine that, getting to have a lawyer at a proceeding that an determine the rest of your life.

Sure it can. You've never been around high profile civil suits if you think otherwise.

The plaintiff always pushes their narrative in hopes of forcing a settlement. I guarantee you they were behind getting the story in Shaun King's hands. That's trial lawyer 101.
