As a Georgia fan I give a lot of credit to Fournette for coming out and saying Chubb is the best back in the SEC and that he strives to be where Nick is at. Shows a lot of class and give me a new level of respect for Leonard.

So...where is this fictional debate you mentioned? That's the consensus that most people believe.

The point was that there are nothing but dumb debates about the subject that lead to arguments between fanbases where the other believes that their player is being put down or labeled as poor. When one player makes the statement that Fournette does, there is no debate currently. Fournette has labeled Chubb as the better back at this time.

Add 300 yds to Fornette at the end of 2015 since he's not in the East.

Fair is fair.

Also had a better situation with a QB

This fact is often overlooked. The fact that Fournette had 1,034 yards as a true freshman without any semblance of a passing game to take the pressure off the box is nothing short of remarkable.

Both are exceptional talents and will almost certainly be the first two drafted at their position in 2017 barring serious injury.

UGA played against a stacked box every game. No one was scared of Hutson Mason's arm.

Not disputing that, but would you seriously say you wouldn't take Mason in a heartbeat over Anthony Jennings?

There's pedestrian, and then there's just plain bad.

At least both teams should be better in the passing game for the next few seasons. Imagine what Chubb and Fournette will be able to do with a quarterback who can take the top off of a defense.

These people aren't aware of Chubb's weight room numbers or 100m time

Well enlighten us. Honestly, I'd like to know.

Should be interesting, I just hope we start a QB that can take care of the ball. If we can prohibit the turnovers, then I think we'll be okay.

100m dash:

Fournette: 10.68
Chubb: 10.69

Bench:
Fournette: 315
Chubb: 365

Power Clean:
Fournette: 300
Chubb: 390

Squat:
Fournette: 600
Chubb: 700

All of these were in high school. They may be better now.

Fournette

Chubb

Their YPC averages aren't very impressive. "Best RB" continues to be determined by who is relied on the most. If your team designs it's offensive scheme around opening holes for the RB, chances are you're going to rack up yards and TD's.

Chubb was over 7 YPC, that's impressive. Fournette was t-6th in conference at 5.5 YPC.

Calling those unimpressive is wrong.

Fournette was/is supposed to be the savior

Yeah...we need a "savior" at RB

If you said that about a QB, I'd maybe agree.

His talent? Not ONE NFL draft expert has Chubb over LF... Not one

Can you please link these nfl draft experts list that have LF over Chubb. I don't believe you and think you're full of shite, homer.

No analyst I've heard has lf over chubb in rb rankings. The only people who say stuff like that are homer lsu fans. It wasn't even close as to who is better based on actual performance on the field.

State had three backs, two returning, with a better YPC than Fournette.
