I like the optimism you ole miss fans have , after one good recruiting class.

By saying that 9-3 won't be our ceiling for a decade? I don't see how that's so outrageous. It's impossible to predict the success of a team over a decade, a lot can happen in that period of time.

that too

but according to the SECr we aren't supposed to celebrate that

Probably hard to celebrate without thinking "21-0"

But 9-3 would be the third best finish , for ole miss, in the last 20-30 years. So it's safe to say that is ole miss's ceiling.

Predicting something 10 years down the road based on years past is ridiculous. Anything can happen in 10 years. Hell, we could luck up and have an unbelieveable player come along and get us to Atlanta (see 2010 Auburn). In no way I'm saying that will happen, I'm saying that anything can happen and it is ridiculous to base a prediction about the next 10 years on previous years

How hard was it for Bama fans to celebrate after "9-6".

With Florida and Georgia on LSU's schedule, Bama and A&M are the prohibitive favorites in the West before the season even begins--congratulations.

you do realize everyone knows you are a LSU fan, right? No Ohio state fan could ever care about this as much as you do. In fact, not even LSU fans care this much. I'm putting you on suicide watch for next season.

Oh great this shite again

Congratulations, LSUs NC in 07 was a 2 loss team.

Want a frickin cookie or something?

Bump ... I choose to enjoy a cookie of the year when a 2 loss team won the championship? Crippled, handicapped? Don't know. It was what is was ...

Actually, it was the last respect given to a Saban recruited / coached team in that era. Since then, LSU can beat Bama when it doesn't matter. Not when it matters. Beauty I say, Beauty!

When I first found this site, I knew nothing about the SEC.

I now know the permanent opponent rule is kept in place to guarantee LSU and Florida keep playing each other every year while the rest of the conference plays them a lot less.

I also learned the SEC schedulers like to protect their best teams to give the SEC a better chance at qualifying for the BCS C.G.

Bama has been the best team in the SEC the last couple of years and that is why Bama got easy non-divisional games in 2012 and 2013.

Protecting Bama is a lot easier than protecting LSU because of the permanent opponent rule. I get it.

Your point? What other team that year should have gone instead? Plus they beat the only one loss team ahead of them.

This is your problem. Everything you know about the sec is coming from the rant. Change your name to enviousbendInthesheet.

We almost killed your coach on accident.

Here's what I know about a decline. The Bama fans in front of me on 11-3-12 got up and left in the 4th quarter. Shook my hand and said "y'all are just better. Good luck in Atlanta." Amazing how the last :45 can get some people using words like decline.

Protecting LSU makes NO sense. Historically. LSU cannot compete with Bama or Auburn or TN historically. I am not against LSU, but they have not dominated like the others mentioned above. Anyway, go Tigers. I don't hate. Just see what they have accomplished over time (long time). Rock on ...
