Did you not ask about how many coaches from the SEC has won a National Championship? Isn't Georgia a part of the SEC?

what's in it for you

clemson has played for at least two, given we won a title in 81

Com on man. You are talking crap about Auburn asking what they have done lately? In the last 6-7 years they have won a NC and played for another one. NOW you want to act like you are as good because you have done the same thing in the last THIRTYFOUR years?

More of his shtick. If anybody dares call him out for the mental retard that he is, he accuses them of sucking up to Auburn. See the previous threads where he does it with Bama and SC fans.
The problem is that he's to damn stupid to realize he's making a fool of himself. It is pretty amusing though

I made one argument. Other than that, I was informing based on the purported subject of the thread. At least until it devolved into a melt.

Ok.

How did you end up going to Clemson AND LSU? I mean, seems pretty far reaching in distance and culture.

You know I don't suck up to Auburn or anybody else....however, I DO believe in giving credit where credit is due.

Hope you saw my mea culpa in the other thread. I didn't remember the bulletin board fodder provided us by Pat Dye. You were right...your post went over my head!

It actually does have a certain ring to it, and fits the culture of Baton Rouge.

Grew up near Clemson in a Clemson family. When it came time for grad school, the program I wanted isn't offered at too many places and they don't take but about 3 kids per year. It's not super obscure mind you, but it isn't something that most schools have. So I cast a net and ended up at LSU.

I wouldn't say they're far reaching in culture. A lot of similarities, but some differences as well. Not having Cheerwine sucked, but boudin was a pretty damn good find. The biscuits suck in Baton Rouge, but they've got some really good french bread. You give something up, but you find something new.

I was born in baton Rouge , but grew up mostly in Georgia. Maybe to you the culture doesn't seem too far apart, but it certainly does to me. I also went back to baton Rouge for 3 and a half years as an adult and still have family there. I didn't care for it there, and can't stand Nawlins.

I guess it's more a matter of what you are used to and how well you adjust, though.

CU is champ in the pre-BCS era with 14-0 record and only regular season undefeated.

Nope. It would've been #1 Clemson vs #2 Alabama just like what happened in the CFP.

there wasnt a title game of any kind in pre-BCS era.

no. 1 was decided by the pollsters.

nobody respsects auburn's lucky season two years ago, and the CAM Newton season was an outlier that did not spring forth from sustained greatness over several seasons and did not lead to sustained success the following seasons.

clemson beat them the two following years.

Except we had the Bowl Alliance before the BCS and the Bowl Coalition before that.

so the top two teams played in a bowl game every year?

i thought the whle point of the BCS was to get the top two teams in a bowl game. obviously that failed, with the LSU-Bama game standing out
