idk how he hasn't won more titles considering the talent that has been through UK.

He's a hot UConn team away from being on par with peers Roy Williams and Rick Pitino with 2. Coach K didn't win a third title for almost 10 years after the 2nd. And all of those coaches have had extremely talented rosters (especially Roy) who "should've" won titles.

It'd be a different story if Cal wasn't making deep runs most years.

Do the players who go play for him wonder why they don't win championships?

Well he had all of that talent this year and still lost in a playoff.

Nick Saban has won 5 tiles in the 20 years he's coached college football.
John Calipari has won 1 title in the 25 years he's coached college basketball.

We get it. UK cares about basketball.

What we wonder is why 4* and 5* QBs go to LSU, not anything about UK basketball

it's not so much coach cal. it's because they would rather play for a university that has basketball as the flagship as opposed to football. i.e. Kansas. that way.....they are the celebs on campus. lol

And how many of those title have come in a tournament/playoff situation?

I'm not knocking Saban, but it's tougher to win an NCAA Tournament than it is a College Football Title.

You're certainly entitled to your own opinion, as wrong as it may be.

Oh I'm not bashing him as a coach. I've had the pleasure of seeing UK practices live and in color, and he's a hell of a coach. He's certainly not just a recruiter like so many on this board try to claim.

I figured you probably weren't bashing or anything. I get the criticism to a point, but I feel like the complaining about "just" one title is kind of shallow when you consider how hard it is to win an NCAA Tournament. There's a reason UCLA only has 11 and Kentucky is second in program history with 8. So the football comparison, especially when you look at the number of programs who have won several NCs in football, seems to be a bit silly.

Such a ridiculous claim. How anybody with an iota of basketball intelligence could watch Kentucky play basketball, with a team full of guys in their first year collegiately, and come away thinking their coach just rolled the balls out...........

You just have to be an idiot.

Booker was 5-star #18 player in the country and Lyles was 5-star #6 player in the country.

Everyone knows ESPN rankings are for shite (I kid). Rivals had him 29th and another service had him in the 40's.

Two things matter to a stud prospect for his one year at that school.

1. How much money are you going to pay

2. What's the quality of the white women
