I have to agree with both of these comments. I think alot of people are making a big deal out of this just because they can. While it probably went a little overboard with the Catholics talk I also think that the ONLY people that can rightfully be upset would be ND people.

If this were Urban Meyer or some head football coach, nobody would care. The uproar exists because 1.) It is a college president and 2.) It is the president of Ohio State, the institution on par with Notre Dame, USC, and Texas as far as places other fans love to hate. If this were the president of Indiana or Purdue, nobody would give a flying frick.

Did you listen to the whole recording? Not only was he wrong but the ACC may have some ammunition in their lawsuit against Maryland in the exit fee case.

I was more or less referring to the major comments about Notre Dame's leadership, as well as the academic prestige of the SEC and Louisville.
Out of those comments, pretty much every word was spot on.

C'mon man, you know good and well that if Urban or any other coach said this there would be just as much backlash. And itd be even worse if it were Urban because youd have a plethora of bammers saying that king gump supposesly made him quit, yada yada yada.

Just sat and listened to the whole recording.
Conclusion: I really f'ing like this guy. He holds no punches, and doesn't really care who knows. There's no way he would've apologized if he wasn't forced to.
And ya, he was spot on with the majority of comments.

I heard him say that the B1G contacted Maryland to influence them to leave the ACC.
