On the one he threw into triple coverage, I was like, "Brett Farve, is that you?"

Could you blame the kid for thinking he is Brett Favre?

He probably reads tRant regularly.

we didn't see much of Duke was that UL had him doubled up basically the whole game

That's what Lashlee said. We need another guy to step up where they can't double Duke all game long.

JJ was forcing things. I hope he settles down and takes what the D gives him. He was trying to make the big play and it bit him. Hopefully he will learn from that game.

I'm not comparing him to Cam Newton, but for the 1st half of the season in 2010 many on here said Cam couldn't throw.

I still don't think Cam is a great thrower. In 2010 he was just a freak athlete and his ability to run opened up so much. If I needed a QB to drop back and fire a 20 yard bullet in tight coverage Cam wouldn't come to mind. If I needed 8 yards to extend a drive he would simply because he gives me that run pass option that defenses have to account for.

I've been saying this for months now. They lose that dynamic in their running game. I remember watching it last year against Arkansas. Let me do the statistics.

1st half Johnson
18 carries 68 yards 3.77 ypc

2nd half Marshall
29 carries 234 yards 8.07 ypc

In the first half, they had 1 run go for at least 10 yards. In the second half, they had 10 runs go for at least 10 yards with 5 going for at least 19 and 3 going for at least 24.

One of the following has to be true.

1. Your old lady fricked around on you with an Auburn fan.
2. Your boss is an Auburn fan.
3. An Auburn fan kicked your arse.
4. Your boss who happens to be an Auburn fan fricked your old lady and when you confronted him about it he kicked your arse.

Those are the only things I can think of that would make an Arkansas fan this obsessed over Auburn. I could see it if you were a Bama, Georgia, LSU or some other team that's actually relevant and has a real rivalry with us. But you're a hog. It makes no sense.

I think the West is a gauntlet that every team is going to have difficulty getting out of without one or more losses. Reminds me of 2010, when Auburn did manage to go undefeated but not without a near loss seemingly each week. Auburn has a favorable schedule in that they draw many of their toughest games at home, just as in 2010 and 2013. The way Johnson played on Saturday will not get it done against upper echelon opponents, so they're going to have to get that situation resolved quickly. Defense looked somewhat improved, but I think Muschamp is going to need some better recruits (particularly in the linebacking corps) to really make a major difference. I could see them losing as many as three or, with some luck and resilience in the face of adversity, going undefeated.

I was not happy about the slide watching it live but watching it again he was going to get hammered, had the guys about to hit him. I would rather him get down then to take the big hit in that situation. Now game on the line he better lower his shoulder and get the half yard
The sooner he gets used to the speed of the game the better AU will be. LSU is going to test that kid like he's never seen.

Gus/Rhett better be working on their sideline communication and organizational skills before the LSU game. Because the oline can't keep getting flagged for holding due to poor communication or JJ may get killed.

You linked a youtube video where the longest throw in the video was about 8 yards and Auburn ran more than they threw. I'm aware that Cam was a great QB in 2010 and he lead Auburn to a victory over Alabama. Does that negate my right to have the opinion that Cam is not a QB I think of when I think of great throwing QBs? Your video did little to sway my mind.

he`s Cam sized and i bet you in a straight line race comparable in speed, though not the moves or elusiveness, but Cam loved being physical and running over people.
