Yeah, I didn't think you really believed that.

I'm fired up about football season...I didn't post anywhere outside of football season and if I ever cared enough about message boards to create an alter account, for what ever the hell reason anyone would do that...to troll more effectively I guess..I would hope someone would show up and put me out of my misery. Just out of curiosity, why the hell do you think I'm an alter? Because I called you out on your weak-arse troll attempt?

I think you will see the run option with JJ showing some running ability open up as we roll along. The kid is more capable than many give him credit for. We shall see and I will accept I was wrong, but I strongly feel it will open up in later games. Maybe even vs LSU.

I'm not comparing him to Cam Newton, but for the 1st half of the season in 2010 many on here said Cam couldn't throw. I think as the season progresses, you will see that JJ can run.

GTF out of here until your team manages to win more than 2 SEC games.

I'm more concerned about the penalties on the offensive line disrupting our running game than JJ's bad day. Neither were encouraging, though.

JJ's passing is easily correctable.

It depends. He clearly has the athletic skills to throw the ball with accuracy. If vision of the field is his problem, that is a problem which may or may not be correctable.

There are plenty of great athletes who couldn't see the coverage and ended up being mediocre qbs who threw too many interceptions. Also, thinking you can put a ball where only your receiver can catch it may be a result of cockiness and not skill.

I don't think Auburn fans, especially the ones here, truly understand what Nick Marshall brought to the table.

Speak for others, not for me.

Nick Marshall was a goddam wizard IMO.

(P.S. He just made an active NFL roster at a position he hasn't played IN FOUR YEARS... a goddam WiZARD, I tell you.)

The one thing coaches have said about JJ is that he has good field vision and can check down well. We'll see, I'm not ready to burn my season tickets after one game, a game in which we won.

Gus tells the kid where to throw the ball. JJ doesnt have the authority to decide whether a play call is going to work or not. He cant audible. In hindsight, i should get off the kid. He is just doing what he is told

Who's mad? We won our opener and had a bad game against a good opponent.

You really seem to have a chip on your shoulder about Auburn and Gus. You need to share it in every thread that has Auburn in it.

I still think we have one of the best if not best QB in the SEC. Feel free to melt over our win.

I was shocked at how little they threw Duke's way, but perhaps he was being double teamed.

I will never understand why Auburn underutilizes him so much. He is the most dominant force as a WR in college football, and he gets 3 catches? Even looking at last year when he ended up with 45 catches that he seemed to disappear at times. You have a once in a decade type talent at WR, use him. I don't think there is any reason why he shouldn't have 70+ receptions.
