Meh...there was something about JJ that just got shite done when he had to. He had some HUGE plays against Alabama that turned a completely even game to a LSU win.

Yeah he was a TREMENDOUS advantage. Let me tell you. Bama derping their way to try and stop a one dimensional guy (at best) does not an advantage make. Once you were called on arguing our QBs were an advantage, you probably should have just let it go.

In regards to the other ignorant things, it was more a shot at the poster who I was responding to that heard the term "stunt" one time and decided to throw it in a post purporting to understand what Saban will do. Your response was indicative of you having no idea what the response was to, so I'll let your ignorance slide, hombre

Thanks, brochacho.

Pleas please please please stunt on a primary running team. We will gash you with the unbalanced look just like we have in the regular season for the last 3 years.

Last year in the regular season you couldn't run on us at all without the option. Watch the tape. Your OL is worse than last year and our Run D is just as good with more speed.

We aren't scared by LSU's pass rush and they got worse in the secondary and we got better at WR.

Dumbest statement on this thread. LSU has 3 first round picks on the DL. Gumps better be scared. The LSU secondary is not worse than last year. LSU is 5th in pass D, that's pretty bad right?

By the way, when people start going on about Alabama fans being delusional, this thread should get bumped. Lots of logic in here and only a few flame posts.

So you are the first Bama fan to realize how big a loss Mathieu is. How does that feel?

It feels great to have common sense.. But it's more about Claiborne and Brooks honestly

We were so close. Then you lament the loss of the dime back over the starter at corner. Anyone who watches that defense knows something big is missing.

I think LSU will play like a bunch of pitbulls hopped up on speed. The game will be close, and I hope to walk out of BR with a W...even if UA just squeaks out a win.

I think you are right. Think how Bama came out on 1/9, but even with a little more edge, due to being at home and because Miles tends to encourage that kind of thing, where Saban tends to go for a more focused intensity, rather than blind rage.

That won't be enough though. Last year, I think it would have worked, but not with this year's team. They will have to execute at a much higher level than they have been, and take advantage of any breaks that they get. I think it will be close regardless, but home field isn't enough on its own.

English motherfricker, speak it!

No but really, this reminds me of 2010. LSU has a ton of talent, the game is in death valley on a Saturday night, LSU had lost to Bama the last time they played and it left an incredibly bad taste in their mouth (PP7 INT game), Bama is being compared to NFL teams and there should be no chance in hell of LSU winning.

Oh, sorry.. Who was your other safety last year? Was Simon a safety? Anyway, Mathieu was a huge loss, yes. He won the National defensive player of the year and the Bednarik award, something that no Bama DB will ever do!

Les gonna Les, and you know it. Bolden running the single wing ain't going to happen...or Mett getting some Air Raid action.

He's pulled a couple of fast ones on Saban. In 09 you had Spencer Ware hitting a halfback pass for a TD and in 2010 you had the Peterson TE sweep on 4th down that was the play of the game for the Tigers. After 1/9, I'm sure Miles knows that he HAS to have something cooking on the side to attempt to shift momentum.

Other people may not think this, but sometimes I think something changed with Les. His "Mad Hatter" rep is a thing of the past to me it seems.

With that said, he will now come out in 5 wide sets and wear a pair of chaps.

While I can certainly see where people would get that, there are still times when the gambler comes back out to play. This last week, he went for it on 4th down and short twice in the first half. Instead of settling for FGs, we ended up ahead 14-12 at the half after a terrible offensive performance. You never can tell.

That said, the 2007 Les Miles died in 2008. Lee and Crowton killed him dead.

One thing they will have to do though is throw the ball. Complete or incomplete IDGAF but if bama is showing 9 in the box like A&M did at times, you have to back the LB's and safeties up some. They should come out throwing to setup the run. Who knows, still 2 weeks away.

If LSU has to depend on Mett's passing skills to win this one I suddenly feel more confident about a Bama win.

I realize that wasn't really what you were saying. I was just having a little fun. I do however expect Bama to force Mett to beat them by showing him all kinds of pre-snap looks and combinations he's likely never seen before?

It's gonna be a great game.

I just knew he was going to run it right up the middle, too. It was a perfect pay call.

Come to think of it, Miles actually pulled out a variation this week, sending Ford to the edge on one of the two 4th down conversions. He even did it out of the wildcat.

148 yards, and not all of them came out of the damn option. That said, however, why do you think the Spencer Ware wildcat suddenly appeared the last two weeks? If you recall, he even has a TD pass against Bama. I'm sure that hasn't gone unnoticed by Saban. They will have to spend tim preparing for it, which is good. This year's offense needs some wrinkles.
