I agree with you. Mett is just another below average LSU QB that just doesn't seem to have it. For that reason combined with our crappy receiver play, Bama will cruise

all last week you had a defense that was better than USC, LSU, and UF....and was only a nut hair from being Bama's equal

We did? I know I certainly didn't. Show me someone, not trolling, that every said such things. Stats alone show A&M ranked something like #36 opposed to the ones you listed when are top 10.

It matters not what he did, the fact remains that mett looked like shite against TAMU and has looked like shite the majority of the time. That's not really disputable

You're right. However, our QB's haven't exactly lit it up the last 2 years but LSU has seemed to find an offense and play their asses off against Bama. Les seems to always find a wrinkle and uses it against Saban. (Except 1/09.)

Honestly, I like Bama's chances simply because we can throw the ball very effectively and LSU's offense is one-dimensional.

Everywhere else, I think it is a great match up. Both teams have great defenses, no doubt. Both teams have very strong running games.

I'd give LSU a slight advantage on special teams. Our kick coverage is suspect and Wing is the best punter in the country.

Obviously, LSU has home field advantage and that's substantial in BR.

The intangibles are interesting. LSU has the revenge factor, but they also have a lot of pressure on them and probably a big unspoken question about the match up after the BCSCG. The revenge factor can play in your favor, but it also can become burdensome if you have carried it for too long.

When it all boils down, I think Bama will be able to move the ball more effectively. If they don't commit turnovers, I like Bama's chances to pull off a close road win. One or two turnovers, give LSU a short field and Bama's in trouble.

Let me rephrase that: Do you really think he's going to be good enough to beat Alabama?

If JJ/JL were.......then absolutely he can be.

And I like that we have 2 weeks to get him and this offense ready.

LSU's crowd (i.e. Alabama having to go on silent count) combined with LSU's DL quickness will give Alabama's OL some trouble. That split second head start your OL gets at home and loses on the road (at least when it's loud) makes a lot of difference, particularly when going up againt an elite DL. So, Alabama's offensive production is likely going to be way down in this game because LSU will win a lot of battles in the trenches on this side of the ball.

However, I think you're right that LSU's offense doesn't look right now to be much of a threat against Alabama's defense. Their QB/WR unit just don't look like they can stretch the field against Bama's D which will allow Bama to focus on the run and also blitz on obvious passing downs.

I really think if Alabama's special teams can hold its own in comparison to LSU's special teams (i.e., make FGs, kick well, cover kicks well) then Alabama will eventually pull away in this one.

Yes.

One thing they will have to do though is throw the ball. Complete or incomplete IDGAF but if bama is showing 9 in the box like A&M did at times, you have to back the LB's and safeties up some. They should come out throwing to setup the run. Who knows, still 2 weeks away.

well i'll be dipped in shite and rolled in bread crumbs. Why can't you post like this more often

pretty much spot on. Les is going to pound the ball as always. The game is going to come down to mett having to make plays with his arm on 3rd downs. LSU defense is going to play well but will get tired out and that is when bama will strike. If mett can do this it is going to be another great game.

I got no axes in this fight whatsoever. The main thing Bama will fight is the location. Red Stick is going to be magical and LOUD. The revenge factor for the BCSCG will be in play....and trust me that can be huge. I would rather see Bama win than face LSU again in Hotlanta if we ..cough, cough, make it there.

LSU will play beyond their talent but I dont know how long the energy level will be sustained if they get behind. Bama has to score quickly to get the crowd sitting on their hands. Will be a hard hitting, pads a popping knock down drag out bar fight that I love to watch.

It is going to mean one of two things.

1) Mett, and the rest of the O, will learn how to hum along like a finely tuned machine.

2) Cause them to freak the frick out when something not addressed during the 2 weeks occurs or something not addressed during the 2 weeks is presented to them.

Never said this would happen....but it will allow our guys to heal some. Maybe toss in a few wrinkles........etc.

I like Bama's offense if the D can create 7 or more 3 and outs.

We aren't scared by LSU's pass rush and they got worse in the secondary and we got better at WR.

You don't even have TM7 for Norwood to abuse. I'd love another 21 point victory in Louisiana let's make it an annual tradition.

Les gonna Les, and you know it. Bolden running the single wing ain't going to happen...or Mett getting some Air Raid action.

So, they only do proper prep when it isn't for all the marbles?

If the Oline plays like it has the last few weeks especially against USCe they will be fine.

They have to spread the field more though, when teams so 8 and even 9 in the box you can't line up with one damn receiver in the formation, it's too obvious what you are going to do. And even if Mett wanted to check out of it what's he gonna check too with 1 wideout.

They are going to have throw it deep more and back the defense up a little bit you can't have defenses with 9-10 guys within 5-10 yards of the LOS. Thorw it do not care complete or incomplete the defense will still have to respect it.

ETA: No one is punching us in the mouth, Less they wanna get punched back.
