This question is your own fault. If you don't have an eagle mascot, you shouldn't have used this alternate logo for my entire childhood.
1971-1982, btw. And honestly, the eagle logo is much cooler looking than the tiger one.

I believe that the war eagle thing was an Alabama Polytechnic Institute thing...I know the "loveliest village" stuff was.
