Doesn't matter. UGA basketball sets out each season with one goal in mind: Get the 3 seed in the conference tournament.

They accomplished that. Thus, they had a better season.

I'm just amazed that you're okay with being outplayed during the conference season by a team that has no chance to make the tourney.

In fact, you seem to be proud of it.

UGA didn't outplay Arkansas. You had more games against the bottom tier teams.

You didn't beat a single team that's solidly in the tournament at this point. Arkansas swept Kentucky and took UF to overtime.

Missouri says hi. So does South Carolina.

You do realize that if you played that well against Kentucky and Florida that you must have really played like shite against the rest of the conference.

You realize that, right? I mean, that's why you're the 5 seed and not, say, the third seed.

Only because our leading scorer was out for the game. If he had played...

Funny how their decline started shortly after they joined a real conference.

Moral victories? He said Georgia outplayed Arkansas. Arkansas taking UF to OT (when they went undefeated in conference) is a sign of playing well.

Try to keep up.

That IS a moral victory. Taking a team to OT doesn't mean jack unless you actually win it.

So if one team A loses 99 - 100 to team B

and team C loses 0-100 to team B

and fan of team A says his team played better than team C, that's trying to claim a moral victory? That's pretty much just a fact.

Florida didn't have their leading scorer.

Didn't y'all split the series with UGA?

The question isn't who lost more. The question is who played better.

They're still a pretty good team.

And it's irrelevant because a loss is a loss. You don't get half a win for playing closer.

Golden: Georgia outplayed Arkansas

Me: [presents evidence to the contrary]

You forgot some critical pieces of evidence my porcine friend. To wit:

Arkansas loses to Missouri at Missouri and in Fayetteville.
Georgia sweeps Missouri.

OOPS!

Arkansas loses to LSU in Baton Rouge by 14 points.
Georgia beats LSU in Baton Rouge by 8 points.

REALLY!

And when it came down to a must win game to get that 3rd seed and the two game bye in the SEC Tournament, while the Dawgs were taking care of business in Baton Rouge, the Hawgs were getting blown out in Tuscaloosa by 25.

Now that's clutch!

It's great that you wanted to debate this and all, but dang, look at what your team did in conference before starting somthin'.
