I'm not happy with Georgia basketball at all. Not even close. I am happy that we finished ahead of every team but Florida and Kentucky, but that speaks more to the pathetic teams that finished behind us than anything about Georgia basketball. We are not good.

But we did finish two seeds ahead of you. That does please me, and since you're very happy with that as well, hey ... good for you!

Lowering your expectations of Arkansas basketball is probably good for your health.

Not true. We have second or third best coach in the conference. He was dealt a bad hand this year. Plain and simple.

Oh, you're still talking?

You should go out and celebrate that 3 seed, man. Who knows when Georgia basketball will ever see something so glorious again!

The final SEC standings don't matter too much with an unbalanced schedule. The last 2 years the 2 seed in the SEC tourney has missed the real tournament.

Basketball is a tournament sport and every season you miss it is a failure no matter where you finish in league play imo.

This UGA team is very similar to the 2012 Tennessee team. Crippling losses in OOC play that kept a good run in the SEC from meaning anything.

SWC was a better basketball conference than the SEC is now.

Oh yeah, I'm still talking.

Right now I'm talking about how you are literally so thrilled with your 5th seed. That is worth talking about, imo.

UF had no players on any pre-season list at all.

Serious question, is UGA in the discussion to get an at-large bid?

Yes, clearly I am. Since I just said that conference standings are mostly meaningless unless you win a conference title.

Good question. I'm also wondering who their best win is against, but still haven't got an answer.

That would be no.

Uh oh. I kind of sense some reality entering your last post.

Go with it.

Meanwhile, Arkansas - the lowly 5th seed, is definitely in line to get an at-large bid barring a poor showing in ATL.

UGA beat us essentially on a buzzer beater at their place. I sincerely hope we get another shot at them friday although we are playing like hot garbage right now sans the reg season finale vs a meh Vandy team.

Doesn't matter. UGA basketball sets out each season with one goal in mind: Get the 3 seed in the conference tournament.

They accomplished that. Thus, they had a better season.
