Actually, it's 1372 and 14 TDs at 6.6 ypc. Not to mention the 3 receiving TDs and 200 more yards. Sorry you don't like that.

So, 685 yards and 7 TDs per year? Yeah, he's definitely overrated.

Corndogs...get real about Fournette. He's a poser.

Check his game by game stats.

He had three impressive games...against Sam Houston State, Texas A&M and Notre Dame. Two of those three defense don't even TRY to stop the run.

His next best YPC game...New Mexico State...in a 63-7 laugher.

Take those out and look what we have. Pure mediocrity.

40 yards against UK
52 against La-Monroe
38 against Misstake
and of course...you knew it was coming...

9 against Arkansas.

(whine..he only had 5 carries...watch the pussyfooting he was doing and you might see why)

To his credit, coaches clearly got in his grill as he looked good against A&M and Notre Dame in the next two games.

Learn to read. I've said several times that he was overrated, at least compared to what the LSU fanbase was expecting.

He was a true freshman that rushed for 100 yards and 10 TDs while playing in the SEC. I'm just fine with that, and said as much before the season.

He'll still have more yards and TDs after 2 years than Henry did.

BTW bro, Collins had three 100+ yard rushing games and two of those came outside of SEC play. He also had:

6 for 13 vs. Bama
11 for 31 vs. UGA
16 for 46 vs. LSU
23 for 79 vs. OM (One of those teams you said doesn't defend the run)
14 for 59 vs. Missouri

Glass houses and all that.

Dobbs
Ndkemwhatever
Fournette

leads the list..Dobbs is overrated by fans.. The other 2, by the media and fans. Henry should not be compared to Fournette as far as being overrated. I never heard anyone refer to Henry as the best RB out of high school since AP..I heard that several times. And he's not overrated because he doesnt look as good as AP. he's overrated because he's not even near the level of the best frosh RB in the SEC

Unreasonable expectations do in fact create the prospect of being over-rated.

And who put those unreasonable expectations on Fournette? Everybody on this board said LSU fans should wait and see what he could do in college, yet you guys hyped him to the Heisman.

That said, I tend to agree that he is an excellent back and is not overrated. He has and will live up to expectations, IMO.

This is exactly why he gets so much hate on this board, and it's understandable. LSU fans escaped from the Tiger Rant and flooded this board with Fournette threads for weeks.

It's still funny to see people say he isn't talented though.

You won't ever hear that from me. I am a believer. Is till lean towards Chubb, but it could be my bias as a Georgia fan. I'd like to think I base my opinion solely on numbers. They will both put up great numbers. I believe they will be the best two backs in the SEC this coming season.

That's understandable since Chubb is a stud. It's going to be interesting to see how their numbers compare after 2015. I expect both to see 50%-60% of the RB touches and both to have 1500+ yards and 15 TDs or so.

The only reason people would call fournette overrated at this point is the GOD LIKE status he was given right out the gate by LSU fans

any one of us would want him on our team but let's hold off on the Herschel and Bo comparisons

This would not surprise me a bit. Then I think everyone will admit that Fournette is not overrated.

I've already said that I completely understand why people hate him.

As far as the bo and Herschel comparisons, there's no need to tell me to hold off. Before the season I predicted 20-25% of the carries for 800-900 yards and 8-9 TDs.

you mean he should try and get better than his freshmen year?

I'll be sure to pass that along.

Kris Frost? Wouldn't people have to first think he was good before he could be overrated??
Kris Frost is good, and incredible at times.
