1000 yards as a freshman with the worst passing game in the league and he's overrated? Umm no

I thought about him. he's not a Heisman caliber QB, IMO. He struggled a bit against some teams and he kicked arse against some teams

pretty good. still not on this level.

this is not a thread about players that suck, its about players that are overrated. The dude rates himself as a Heisman contender and he wasn't anywhere near that level. Yes, he's good. But yes, he's still overrated.

I'll go with: -Derrick Henry for Bama.

Is Henry getting a lot of hype? He did out of high school and he did after the sugar bowl against OU. But after a whole season of games I think the hype died down. The bama hype machine has gotten behind BoScar now.

He's all my Bama friends talk about. If he'd got more carries against OSU, blah, blah, blah.

Kris Frost? Wouldn't people have to first think he was good before he could be overrated??

As of right now I would have to add CB Tony Brown. As bad as our corners were last year, he had every chance to earn a permanent starting spot and never seized the opportunity. You could add either of our starting corners to the list, but they are not even overrated. Everyone knows they suck.

Fournette was overrated by many LSU fans. I don't have a problem with him being on this list. the problem is he's going to be perennially overrated unless he has a 2000 20 season. People can call him whatever they want if he puts up 1500 and 12+.

If Henry can put together games like he does late in the year, he'll match the hype. Henry really turned it on the last two years - but only late in the year. Many don't realize he finished ahead of Yeldon in rushing (990 to 979) and only 10 yards short of 1000 - and not even the starter. Not bad at all. I think many people just expect him to be a bruiser because of his size, and that is just not him.

1. Butthurt is the most overused phrase on the internet.
2. It's not butthurt to point out the fact that Fournette had a great freshman season despite the fact that LSU had no passing game. He got better as the season went on and probably had his best game of the year in the bowl game. Plus, one season doesn't constitute someone as overrated.

Definitely these two, but you should probably include more UT players. We will be lucky to be bowl eligible next year. Butch is selling fool's gold.
