Wisconsin is #26 in AP, fwiw. That's a quality win in my book.

No one does. Technically. Imagine if LSU lost 1 game. The SEC championship to Florida. Now that would be interesting. I guess they would have to take Florida, but does LSU get in? I shudder to think..

Whatever you say fella. I mean, it's not like TCU and Baylor got jumped last year when they sat at home on championship weekend or anything.

You're delusional as frick.

Glad to hear there is no Bama bias from a LSU fan!

You like to stock up on your technicalities.

LSU might not get in, even if they were a runaway #1 going into that game. And I wouldn't have a problem with it. Just depends on how the rest of the teams around the country finish.

Didn't lose to Memphis, don't care.

So far I haven't seen a Gump try to properly logically defend their argument that they belong in top 4. All they do is spout buzzwords like "melt" or "salt" and think that's sufficient enough.

If Alabama beats LSU and Clemson loses to FSU, there is a 99.99999% chance that Alabama will be ranked #1 going into championship weekend, and they would absolutely be in the playoffs if they aren't in the SECCG.

I don't think that will happen if OSU is undefeated at that time. OSU will have the 0 in the loss column and will be coming off 2 top 25 wins in a row. Actually I think any undefeated power 5 team is in over Bama at that time

This is just me, but I didn't watch the rankings last night. I wouldn't be talking or thinking about them if not for this place. They do not matter one tiny bit. That's why I think it's funny (on all sides) that people are so upset about them.

It's not bias, it's rationality. Something very few Bama fans in this thread have.

This notion that Bama is in a "win and you're in" scenario is downright ignorant.

There is a possible 1-loss UF on the board, who would be SEC champs. At least 3 other 1-loss conference champs, and possibly 4, from the other P5 conference. This is not even including possible 1-loss ND and undefeated Memphis.

Forget all that, Bama wins and their in........Lulz

I personally don't think Bama should be in the top 4. But now that they are, and folks are bitching, moaning, and crying like titty babies about it...I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

I promise you it's better for your team and coach to be hated than for your team to be an afterthought that no one even discusses. We've been there with the Dubose/Shula years and I'll take the hate everyday over that shite show.

If Bama won out, how does the committee justify dropping them? What they did yesterday was basically guarantee Lsu or Alabama a spot if either wins out.

The same way the justified dropping TCU and Baylor last year. Sitting at home while other contenders win on championship weekend Results in you being dropped.

They dropped people last year?

UF would have an extra game+an SEC championship?

TCU/Baylor undefeated+ a CONFERENCE CHAMPION 1 loss Stanford with an extra game?

Theres a lot of reasons that can justify it.

And?

The committee pretty much inked at least one SEC will be in the playoff. If Bama wins they're in ~ if LSU wins they're in.

They stated last year that not having a conference championship game hurtthe big 12.

Using that precident, not playing in the championship game would hurt Bama.

And you think 1-loss Bama gets left out for 1- loss Baylor or TCU? Undefeated Memphis? Even 1-loss ND? We're talking about Alabama, dude. ALABAMA.

Honestly, your take is refreshing. Most of your colleagues would disagree with you in a shrill, whiny fashion.

No, they aren't.

If IF wins out they are in regardless of what Bama does.

Bama needs 3 of the P5 conferences to have 2-loss champions IMO.

ETA: All of my arguments are scenarios in which Bama does not win the SEC. I want to be clear on that. They win the conference they are in
