All of the reasons given for Bama being #4 are laughable

Herbstriet and others defend it by pointing out the following criteria:
"Good wins matter more than bad losses"
"Strength of schedule matters"
"Performance in games matter"
By that criteria, Alabama doesn't deserve to even be in the top 10. Their only win against a team currently in the top 25 is Texas A&M(If you can even consider that a "good win").
People lauded their strength of schedule before the season started, because back then we thought Wisconsin would be decent, we thought Georgia wasn't going to be a total dumpster fire, and we thought Auburn would be good. As of now they have only played 2 teams still currently in the top 25, and lost one of them at home. Their schedule was projected in the pre-season to be tough, but it has turned out to be baby soft. At the end of the year, the two best teams they will have played will have both been at home. And all of the pre-season deemed "tough teams" they will have played on the road (Auburn, Georgia, and Wiscy) won't even be ranked.
There's no way around it, Alabama is ranked #4 because of the jersey they wear, and because ESPN is hyping this game saturday. Not because they have earned it.

Wait only LSU fans feel this way?

Thank you, I needed some salt on this slice of cantaloupe.

I just love how you're so concerned with dissing Bama that you don't even care that you make ole miss look worse in the process.
The BCS would have Bama at #3

Alabama should be like 6

You have no idea because there is no Harris poll.

Fine with me. IF we win Saturday, we'll be top 4 regardless if we are #4 currently or were hypothetically #6.
It's as simple as win out, and Bama is in. Get another L and we're out.
The only ones melting are the non-bama fans.

Pretty sure it's the entire minus state of Bama. You guys cannot lose this game. Bama would be skull fricked by any team in the top 10 but LSU seems to always play down to opponents. Just hit the gas and never let off.

You can keep using that excuse all you want.
Using the AP and the Coaches (AP used to be used), they wouldn't be top 4.
They are currently 7th in the Coaches Poll

Technically, Alabama does not control their own destiny to make the playoff.

Not true, at all. If Bama and OM both win out no SEC team goes to the playoff unless there are a shitload of 2-loss champs from the other conference.
It's cute that Bama fans have convinced themselves that they would get in over SEC-champion OM, if it comes to that.

I've noticed you start similar threads over and over. You did two very similar Texas threads back to back. And your thread on the Bama hype last night was better.
