I think he goes in the first 3 rounds so not really a steal.

Keith Marshall or Malcolm Mitchell on the other hand will be unmitigated steals. Both saw their immense talent buried on an awful offensive squad with a shitty OC

Yeah....I think one of the things that will really help him is that he does great at pass blocking and picking up blitzers.

Collins is a poor man's Gurley. Not a slight on Collins because he has been phenomenal his entire career.

Alex Collins is NFL ready. No reason to come back.

I agree 100% about Mitchell, a better prospect than Conley who was a 3rd rdr after blowing up the combine. Not sure at all about Marshall, he's a major crap shoot. Collins could be the 3rd or 4th RB off the board, not sure if he's underrated. Johnathan Williams could be a steal after sitting out the season, he had a better draft grade than Collins entering the yr.

and i'm an arkansas fan, and i don't think he's ready yet

1. you have to truely undrestand how massive our offenssive line is.

2. pass blocking LINK

3. he's probably.... no he's defiantly the slowest starting running back in the SEC West.

4. Here's my biggest issue.. He's a good enough runner to play in the NFL right now. But he's not a feature back, so he needs to be able to do other shite like catch passe out the outfield. I honestly, in 3 years, don't remember him catching one pass that was not a screen. Never seen him split out, so being a third down back is out the question, and if you do't have top end speed, and can't fricking catch how the hell are youg oing to make a 53 man roster?

he's a much more natural running back than both LF and Henry IMHO, has amazing agility and I'll take his vision and cutting ability over anyone else's. But he really, can't do anything else.

He needs a year and needs to work on his route running ad pass catching. There was a reason he never started over JOnathan Williams.

now.. Jonathan williams, will be the steal of the draft. he can do it all

UTEP's running back we played this year i'd take him over collins 7 days a week. dude could and did do everything short of dropping babck add throwing the ball

Dude you just wrote all of that shite for no reason. Hes a great RB that will be drafted when he comes out either this year or next and he will be a good back in the NFL. One year isn't going to change much of anything for him. Hopefully he just wants to get a degree and plays for us another year.

one year can change a hell of a fricking lot when it's the difference on if you can pass block / cath out the backfield thus make a 53 man roster.

look at the worst team in football, the browns. You're nnot keeping more than 3 RB's. So they have Crowell. he's not getting cut. They have Duke Johnson who defiantly isn't getting cut so that 3rd guy, better be able to do some shite other than run threw a hole, and coolins, at this point can't.

you're right the physical part of his game is maxed out he's not going to get faster or bigger or taller. But he isn't the athlete to be team's first / 2nd down back all year long and he is ot skilled enough to be a third down back. He's gotta be one or the other.

Not only that, he really, really needs to go to a team that runs a zone blocking scheme, that's how he runs best that's why every other run play for him is a draw.

I know it definitely contributed to our loss. They wore our DTs, especially our true froshies the hell out and they'd played outstanding against everyone else (other good OLs inluded). Even MLB Kirkland remarked on Arky being so big and physical and I think he's gonna be one of the best we've ever had at that position but he too was a true froshie.

That said, Collins did tons on his own. The OL opened the way, sure but his moves made things happen. I wouldn't undervalue him because of the OL even though they certainly helped him out.

I think he's better than you give him credit for although he's not the best ever, he's no slouch and has tons of room to improve in the pros as many RBs have.

He definitely didn't gain 1500+ yards because our line was big. That kid has the best vision and jump cut that I've ever seen.

Alex makes tons of defenders miss at or behind the line of scrimmage. Truly gifted vision and ability to set up defenders.
