You read right. Watson had a better season. The Stanford kid definitely had a better season.

Ingram and Henry were both great backs that had great seasons. I felt that Henry had the better of the 2 but there was no one that had a better season than Ingram his year. Henry should have come in 3rd...unless what the Heisman really is is the best offensive player on the best team...because Henry was NOT the best player in the country.

- averaged 0.4 YPC more rushing
- had 20 less rushing touchdowns
- had 5 more receiving touchdowns
- had 2 more return touchdowns
- had 11 less overall touchdowns

He was a great player who had a great season, but people kept throwing around "All Purpose Yards" like running a kick back 20 yards is the equivalent of gaining 20 yards rushing the football. 25 return yards are inherent to basically any kick return, and he had 37 of them.

DeShaun Watson was GREAT down the stretch and in the playoffs. He also finished #12 nationally in passer rating for the season. He had a 2.69 TD/INT ratio.

How Watson's Rating ranks compared to prior QBs the last 4 years. He isn't even close to the top of the list.

2013 Jameis Winston, FSU : 184.85
2014 Marcus Mariota, Oregon : 181.75
2012 AJ McCarron, Alabama : 175.28
2012 Aaron Murray, Georgia : 174.82
2015 Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma : 173.32
2013 Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M : 172.89
2013 Zach Mettenberger, LSU : 171.45
2013 Teddy Bridgewater, Louisville : 171.14
2015 Kevin Hogan, Stanford : 171.03
2014 JT Barrett, Ohio State : 169.82
2014 Cody Kessler, USC : 167.06
2015 Trevone Boykin, TCU : 161.52
2015 Jared Goff, Cal : 161.32
2014 BLAKE SIMS, ALABAMA : 157.87
2014 Bryce Petty, Baylor : 157.83
2015 DeShaun Watson, Clemson : 156.25
2015 Chad Kelly, Ole Miss : 155.86

You can make an argument for any of the 3, but the idea that either of them was "screwed" is laughable.

NO WAY can you give it to him over the guy that broke Barry Sanders all purpose yards record

So you think 7 rushing td's, 4 of them coming against Northwestern is enough production for a Heisman winning RB? I don't and the voters saw through that as well. The kid is good but he has holes in his game and all purpose yards are the biggest single stat padder, and most irrelevant stat in the game.

Yeah...it helps in the mind of the voters when you're performance gets your team to the title.
