But you have struggled against a Gus Offense. That was with an Ellis Johnson Defense to compliment the Offense. It is hard to argue that Boom is an upgrade to Ellis.

What you are getting ready to run into could be Nick Saban's best front 7. The front is loaded and will be backed by solid physical LB's.
Secondary should be deeper and improved, with a lot of experience at corner.
Offensively the OL should be at least as good as last seasons. RB will be good again. Losing Yeldon is not so good, but a lot of the year he was playing hurt.
QB will be key and I think we have plenty of players that can fill the spot. WR also, we definitely do not have a Cooper but in some ways that might open things up a bit as the ball will be spread around more.
Bottom line. You ain't running the ball on this team. Not with any consistency and it isn't going to be very easy to throw it either with better corner play and a strong pass rush.
The offense will need to gel and I will be interested to see how the QB progresses. Get good play there and there is no reason they can't win the SEC and go back to the playoffs.

We've lost to Alabama a few times in a row now, but they just don't have anything that leads me to believe we'll lose to them this year. Just like in last year's matchup, the only thing that can stop LSU is LSU.
