I've been to both towns and you can't compare them. One is about 80-90k the other has a metro of about 700k.

Some of y'all are underestimating the amount of money Bama is willing to throw at him
You and I both know they'd have to throw Calipari or Pitino type money at him. And pray.
I just tend to think he's going to be a top target for Indiana in less than a year and he's ok waiting that out.

Except he's turned down big money and bigger programs than Bama numerous times already
That was until his son finished HS in Wichita. That happens this year. I, too, would be surprised if he took the Bama job. But they have the money, if not the prestige, to make a run at him.

It will take a blue blood for Shaka to leave VCU. That guy is loyal as frick.

Paying $3 for a Missouri valley coach

Marshall is doing what all coaches and their agents do. Getting a raise. I hope Shaka gets it.
Also I consider 3 SEC schools as basketball schools. Kentucky, Arkansas and Florida. Auburn got a great coach for a football school. I mean he did get the ban hammer but hey...

There's rumblings Texas is ready to cut bait with Barnes. If so, that could be a program I could see Marshall going to.
I'm not sure about Indiana job. Isn't the Butler kid going to be a front runner there?

Saban has no buy out. Jus saying.

They would have to offer quite a bit to take Stevens from the Celtics but I could see it happening if he doesn't like what the front office is doing

If they're smart, they don't drag this out. Get a yes, no or maybe from Marshall. If it's not clear, move on Smart immediately if he's interested.
Yeah hopefully their tournament run ends later this week so they can at least get a yes or no from him and move on if needed.

Saban getting heavily involved could easily remind Marshall that he will always be 2nd fiddle at bama
Does anyone know if Marshall is into statues and gaudy shite like that?

I don't understand why they keep bringing him up

He better have VCU consistent though. His stock can't be high forever.

fricking retard. If his dream job is Indiana then he can negotiate no buyout and so if he lands the Indiana job next year he can move with no penalty.
