Why? the article is wrong and several have posted the actual numbers.......and, LSU is represented by DBs of higher quality and achievement.

Facts. Those pesky things!!!

WRU is probably LSU as well

based on? I'd say Julio is better than OBJ at this point (or at worst they are equals), and I'd put Amari ahead of Landry.

As for others, I'm sure LSU has several WRs in the league who are "there", just as Bama has several who are "there". But somewhere in this thread someone said you have to put quality over quantity. Is that the case or not?

No way, bro.

I agree that Julio Jones > O'dell Beckham Jr, but Jarvis Landry > Amari Cooper.

Jarvis Landry > Amari Cooper.

Based on what?

Rookie year:
Landry had 84 catches, 758 yards (9 YPC), 5 TDs, 6 catches of 20+ yards, and 0 catches of 40+ yards.

Rookie year:
Amari had 72 catches, 1,070 yards (14.9 YPC), 6 TDs, 16 catches of 20+ yards, and 6 catches of 40+ yards.

Landry's second year he had 110 catches, 1,157 yards (10.5 YPC), 4 TDs, 10 catches of 20+ yards, and 3 catches of 40+ yards.

When comparing only their rookie seasons, Coop had more yards, TDs, 20+ yard catches, 40+ yard catches, higher YPC. Landry had more catches.

When comparing Coop's rookie year to Landry's 2nd season, Coop had higher YPC, more TDs, more 20+ yard catches, more 40+ yard catches. Landry had more catches and more total yards (as a result of his # of catches only b/c Cooper average 4.1 yards more PER catch in rookie year than Landry did in his 2nd year)

Amari definitely had a better rookie season. More TDs and YPR last season. Drafted much higher. Laughing makes you look pretty dumb.

Take a fool to argue that they aren't, happy to take your 4-5 star cast offs.

But Landry has also been relegated to the slot and been the dump pass WR for Tannehill since the Dolphins o-line hasn't been very effective. This season is going to be the 1st time that Landry will see a bunch of time on the outside.

It's much easier to compare OBJ and JJ because for their differences, they both typically play an outside WR spot and have offenses that take shots to them downfield. Amari Cooper is closer to them in terms of usage than Jarvis Landry.

Oh really, using the same espn link that one poster used, did anyone actually state that Bama still had more defensive backs on a NFL roster than LSU. I counted 12 using this same link lol. You're right facts are pesky to some when it doesn't fit their narrative

why is that? It's not Coop's fault that he's viewed as a legit outside threat and Landry was "relegated to the slot". So he couldn't beat out Brian Hartline for the outside spot his rookie year? Come on man.

Cooper plays for the Raiders, bruh. The Raiders. Let's not act like he's in the Packers system or whatever.

Raiders O-line ranked 13th last season. The Dolphins were 24th.

The Dolphins still had a better overall team than the Raiders and Tannehill has more experience as a QB than Derek Carr.

And yet Carr was ranked 23rd last year while Tannehill was ranked 29th. So, better o-line and QB play goes to the Raiders.

eta: Raiders defense was ranked 22nd and the Dolphins were 25th. Just FYI.

According to your link, the Seahawks and the Packers had a worse line than the Dolphins. Also, your link shows that the Dolphins had more rushing yards (they also had more passing yards) than did the Raiders. They had a higher YPC than did the Raiders.

Dice it any way you want to. I'm not going to believe that Landry is better than Cooper. You're not going to believe Cooper is better than Landry.
