Alabama does more than just win national championships.

The Crimson Tide also had nine defensive backs in the NFL at the end of last season, more than any other college, according to an NFL roster database compiled by The Detroit News.

Seven of the top 10 defensive back-producing colleges, based on 2015 NFL rosters, are in the South. After Alabama, Florida and Ohio State tied for second with eight each. Next were Auburn, Clemson, Texas and Oregon with seven each, then Florida State, Virginia Tech and Kansas with six apiece.

LSU (with Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu) and Kansas (with Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr) arguably have the best duos of colleges.

So I guess LSU's 10 right now and 2 not on roster at this time didn't count?

Last season LSU had 10 + Landry.

LSU has the following defensive backs in the NFL. Which ones aren't on rosters?

Ron Brooks
Morris Claiborne
Jalen Collins
Ronald Martin
Tyrann Mathieu
Patrick Peterson
Eric Reid
Rashard Robinson
Tharold Simon
Jalen Mills

I count 10 per ESPN.
