Damon Duval. Yeah, I'd forgotten how much he got into it with LSU fans.

for real, what a dick. that's okay, he got punked by one of our band members in 2001 and then the Tigers whooped that arse to claim the SEC West.

Everything has been pretty much covered.

PJ Fitzgerald was average at best and while he might have decent pinning numbers (inside 20) he was consistently putting it between the 10-15 yard line when it was a simple 25 yard punt. He rarely pinned teams inside the 5 like a great punter does..

Tiffin was a decent kicker, definitely above average, but he was inconsistent on the easy stuff

Arenas will be a huge blow, not much else to say

Selmon the long snapper was very consistent, he will be hard to replace as well.

okay, we get it, you're not worried. now how about some football info as to why you think two inexperienced young guys in key special teams positions will be just as good as the veteran guys you just lost.

Jay Williams has a solid hang time and distance average on his punts. PJ was a good punter, but IMO not a great punter. Williams, however, is 6'4 220lbs and is an athlete. A little tackling practice and he'll be a fine replacement.

Cade on the other hand, has one hell of a leg. His accuracy isn't bad, and can't be much worse than Tiffin's was his first year kicking for the Tide. Difference is, like Jay Williams, Cade is an athlete and has the ability to contribute in other ways. Not only was he his team's kicker, but he was the MLB and leading tackler for the 5A Texas powerhouse Southlake Carroll two years in a row. His junior year they were state champs I believe. He routinely booms the ball out of the back of the endzone. Obviously they bump it back another 10 yards in college, but his kicks are soaring out of the endzone by more than 10 yards.

That all being said, you'll have to excuse me if I'm more excited than worried.

I dont like sticking starters in a position where they are likely to get hurt which is why I question some of the LSU fans that want RS returning kicks and punts.

don't worry, as long as Miles/Crowton are in town Shepard won't start next year

too many underachieving upperclassmen in the way

Moral of the Story..... we definitely have holes to fill. Big ones. It'll probably cost us a game or two.

What are you gonna do though? sit down and cry?
