Why does the success of Alabama and its athletes make you so angry?
It's almost like the rallying cry of, "you gumpers only care about footbawl", is a projection!

Looks like exercises science and General Business are Bama's version. General Business was always the course people took when they could do basic math.

General Business requires multiple math courses, including statistics.
Yeah, I'm sure we're just funneling our football players into those classes because they're easy.

Exactly, you can't fake your way through business courses at most schools without being able to read well and do math. I know SC has several players on our list who are in Business and Finance majors/tracks and our Business school is really legit.

The way University's have the Acedemic Support infrastructure in place today, there is not any reason to make average grades. Compare what the average student experiences, especially if they have to work (rare today), to athletes at SEC schools . You will see there is no comparison in lifestyle and probability of success in the classroom.

Not really SEC related, but I heard this today:
LINK
So, not all football players just major in General Studies.

No doubt. You have to be a real dumbass or POS to fail out of school with the academic support for athletes.

Exercise Science must have replaced General Studies as the new hot major.

General Business requires you pass the Calc and Stat classes. It is a degree from the Business School.
"Personal Finance" is the can't pass Stats fake Business major.

Yea, it's a Business School degree. You have to pass Micro, Macro, Calc, Stats and then all the 200 level business classes (Logistics, Accounting) and do GBA 490 at the end.
Didn't realize you have to take AC 351 or AC 352. Those are legit classes, especially 352. The only upperclass classes I had with football players in undergraduate school were the 300 Management/Marketing/OM classes.
The only non-golfer athlete that majored in Accounting the 2 years I was an upperclassman and the 1 year I was in graduate school was Barrett Jones, and he was a fvckin genius. An actual genius unlike Greg McElroy.

Thanks for the link! Those are some tough arse classes. No idea how our football players have time to manage those classes with their football schedules.

Do not pretend that this is anything but basic math. LINK
The other classes might require higher level math concepts, but not these classes based on their course description.

No scoop. Greg was a hard working guy and everything, but he was held out to be somebody like Josh Dobbs who has a 3.8 or whatever in an extremely difficult major. He made very good grades (and should be commended), but he majored in Marketing and got a Masters Degree in Sports Administration.

Are you retarded?
Math 100 and 112 are the only "basic math" classes on the entire list of courses required for a General Business degree.
