Reminds me of a fluke win during a recent January mulligan bowl game. Play that game 10 times on a neutral field (or in Tuscaloosa) and LSU probably wins 6 or 7.

lol. Maybe Alabama being in the game was a fluke, but you don't "fluke" your way into a 3-TD win and "fluke" your way into holding the opponent under 100 total yards. That's called domination.

How often do you win a game when your D gives up 296 yards rushing in the SEC. Not often... Auburn did their part too. In a game like that, it comes down to who makes the best plays in crunch time. Auburn did and won.

How often do you win a game when you get outgained by 100 yards. Not often but this time, yes. The barn escaped again on a magic carpet to Pasadena. Enjoy the trip.

There's some truth there, but Bama beat LSU last year when LSU outgained them by 100+ total yards. LSU beat West Virginia in 2011 by 26 after WV outgained LSU by 160+ yards. That happens more in the SEC than a team giving up 290+ rushing and winning the game.

I dunno, A&M bested UA by 60 this year, no? It's not all that uncommon.

The first time I thought about this was when Pat Dye first played against Bryant (81') and he said after the game that "we lost but we out gained you". That was Bryant's famous 315 game. He won in 82' but I will always remember that #315 was versus AU.

If you think one game proves one team is better than another, that's fine, but 2011 and every NFL season kind of disproves that notion.

By that logic, the national championship game didn't prove anything, got it.

I agree with this sentiment that in a law of averages, Alabama would beat any other team in the nation, more times out of ten.

However, football is not that way. You get one shot, we didn't get it done.

Am I confident Alabama would beat both Auburn and FSU on a neutral field? Absolutely, especially with the title-experience, and gameplanning time advantage the Tide would have.

Auburn is a very good team that capitalized on all of Alabama's mistakes. Missing 4 FG's and not even attempting one from the opponents 13 to go up by 10 with such little time benefited the Tigers greatly. However, the last time I checked, kicking is part of football.

I'm unhappy about the season because I know what we're capable of. However, this team has some amazing seniors and they've all put in a lot of effort. I look forward to a great Sugar Bowl victory, and a #2 ranking. It's not what we wanted, but I know at the end of the season, only one other team wouldn't wish they were us.

Like I've heard many say before--"Losing sucks. But I take it as the ultimate compliment to our team that whenever we are defeated, it's considered a miracle."

That game and play will be talked about for years. It's because beating Alabama is almost a lifetime achievment. People in Jackson, Mississippi STILL talk about the 1980 game where Alabama was stopped on the goal line, to win 6-3, preventing the Crimson Tide from winning, ironically, its 3rd national title in a row.

Losing sucks, but the good news is, it doesn't happen often. Roll Tide.

All you can really hope for is to be in the hunt every year. The ball will always bounce weird (its not round). We had to get lucky to get into it in 2011 and 2012. We got unlucky vs Auburn (yeah barners- very unlucky) but that can happen any given Sunday. I'm just glad Saban's still at Bama. We've been in the hunt every year (even 2010 we were #1 for a few weeks). So all's well at the capstone.

1.Watch it again and tell me he was short, you are FOS.( 3rd down not 4rth.)

2.“HOLDING CALLS WERE MISSED ”
Sure didn't mind calling the hold on O.J. from 25 yards away, and no sir, you don't miss tackles from behind in the endzone or by W.R.s in plain site, piss poor excuse from a FOS jackleg who knows damn well the tackle from behind on 3rd and 19 gave you the game.YOU CAN'T ARGUE SO YOU DEFLECT.

4.Again you fib, quit making excuses for refs missing easy holding calls all game, yet calling the BS call from 25 yards away, the same POS who marked the ball short ( ON 3RD DOWN NOT 4RTH ) and if you watch it you will know he was not just on the line but over the line, yet no review....... LMAO at the Auburn smucks who live in lala land.

5.We know, you can't remember shyt when it comes to Auburn, watch the game again, without bias, then take a shower.

6.You are FOS, watch it again, thats never a personal foul unless we have gone full sissy azz football, he didn't hit him hard or fall on him, you are just biased and FOS.

7.All had merit, “ and whose to say we dont score on the next play ” THE DUMBEST SHYT I ever heard, LMAO, 32 seconds left, ball on the 45 with a running team LMAO.....

8.Number 29 ran into a coach, WATCH AGAIN MR. FOS AUBIE.

And the face mask in the first half on 3rd 18 led to 7 points as did the W.R.s blatant hold on Ha Ha Dix...... you trying to tell me refs miss blatant holding calls in wide open space all the time is the most ignorant BS I have heard in years, refs miss holding calls on the line-of-scrimmage all the time, because that's how they ref now, if you hold on the inside, they tell coaches, we aren't going to call it, ( O.J. had his hands inside ) but any play in space where your arm extends ( see WR. vs. Ha Ha ) where you turn a defender around from his destination ( see Deval first half, easy sack, gets a facemask from an O-L ref thought he turned around to have a conversation ) or tackling a defended from behind ( see tackle on our left end by Auburn O-L with 3:30 left on 3rd 19 from the back of the endzone 2 yards from a ref ) , ARE ALL OBVIOUS and should be called, so again you are FOS.

Your coach can't motivate your players to play for a national title? Yeah, he should be fired then.
