Alabama is definitely NOT America's team. CFB does not have "America's team".
Also, if I had to guess, I would bet majority of the nation will be pulling for A&M even though they might not agree with JFF in order to see Alabama knocked off.
ETA: The Robinson commitment makes me want to root for A&M too almost just to laugh at him.

Not sure where you are getting that from. Most people I know (across several fanbases) aside from Texas fans are pulling for aTm to pull off the upset.

"America's team" right now is probably Stanford. Outside of the PAC pretty much everyone likes them

This can't be real. Most LSU fans I've talked to for instance want us to beat y'all. I can't imagine anyone else really feeling differently. Saban sucks and got really lucky to win 3 titles to begin with, and gumps are the least likeable people ever.

I agree. Whether LSU fans pull for A&M or not the majority of the country will likely be pulling for A&M.

Interesting. No one in the PAC 12 particularly cares for them either way except for their rivals who hate them - USC, Cal, and UCLA.
But I do know that many fans from several PAC 12 fanbases badly want to see Alabama lose to aTm again to see if Nicky Satan's head will explode.

Can't imagine most non SEC fans want to see Bama win another title. Would probably bore the shite out of most of America.
Also, most non SEC fans realize A&M has little chance of winning the natty so it gives other conferences a better chance to win it all without Bama in the mix.
Didn't work out last year as Bama still made the title game but eventually the SEC will crap out and a one or two loss team will get left out. Auburn won every game in 2004 and still got left out.

aTm winning makes the SEC west race and the national championship picture very interesting. Also I would rather see aTm win the SEC than any other team just so the rest of the SEC would lose their minds.
