It was probably expected - as it should have been - since Bama was A) on probation, B) had inferior talent to most of the rest of the big 6, C) had inferior coaching, and D) beating Shula coached Bama teams was the norm for big schools (UT was 3-1 against him, AU was 4-0, LSU was 4-0, etc).

Well, seeing as how LSU has its "best coach in program history" and is at the apex of your success, beating your team 5 in a row under those circumstances is quite different (and much more impressive) than beating a team on probation who was on its 5th coach in 8 years.

Those "busts" (still waiting on names beyond Trent) sure did dominate in college. What they do at the next level (as I'm sure most LSU fans would say about Jamarcus Russell, Morris Claiborne, Russell Shepherd, etc) is on them.

Name more. I'm happy to address any. There may be one I'm not remembering, but if you say Milliner (the go to for LSU fans when you ask for someone other than Trent) then you'll have to acknowledge Claiborne is a bust and no one is willing to do that yet.

Alabama is a great football program. Typically the great ones though, don't feel the need to remind everyone how great they are. So threads like this one are puzzling.

I didn't start this thread, but I'm pretty sure it was started as a troll against LSU more so than a "look at how good we are" thread. It was started to do exactly what it has done - rile up a certain fanbase.
