Not really. I generally draw the same conclusion any time I see Patriots, Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys, Ohio State, Texas stuff.
They probably just bought the shirt because they recognize the brand name. In some cases, they feel like it makes them a better person.
ETA: combine that with the fact that Alabama fans are responsible for some of the most ridiculous sports stories you hear (teabagging, murders over a game, etc) and it's not an unreasonable conclusion to draw.

Meh, truth stings but still rather be an LSU fan any day. It's more fun here. People visit Louisiana year-round, no one goes to Alabama if they don't have to.

Fanhood is not confined to a specific state. You can live in states other than Alabama and still be a fan. Heck, I have lived in countries other than America and still maintained my Alabama support.

I find it hard to believe that you as an LSU fan think your fanbase is the bastion of morality in the SEC, I don't put it past you though you are a fan at the end of the day and I doubt you would think highly of a rival school especially Bama. You can bring these stories up all you want but if you think these stories are a direct reflection of the fanbase as a whole then I think I am wasting my time talking to you.
