I assume you are just referring to some colleges, as bama has several fully online degrees

Both AU and Alabama are pretty cheap comparatively to the rest of the country.

The biggest chunk of that COA is Residence Hall + Meal Plan, which comes to almost $12,230 a year. You only have to be on that for your freshman year, then you can live in a roach infested apartment and eat Krystal everyday. Like a real college student.

I'm referring to all colleges. I don't like Alabama offering full online degrees.

Or you can let your kid suck off your tit like Irons Puppet said, and buy a house on campus. Let your first kid live there with a couple of roommates and use the rental income cover the mortgage costs. Then when the next tit sucker graduates high school in two years let him live in the same house and do the same.

All the while when you and the wife go back to T'town on fall Saturday's you have a house only a few blocks from the Strip and BDS that your drunk arse can wobble back to after a huge Bama win! Rest up, take the tit suckers out for Sunday brunch and head back home until the next weekend when you do it all over again.

It's a vicious cycle.

Which private schools can you attend for $25.5K a year? Vanderbilt : $63,532 Birmingham Southern : $45,568 Samford : $43,742 Spring Hill College : $50,931 Huntingdon College : $36,935

I have a son that is a Senior at BSC, those fees are all inclusive. Tuition, books, room and board. I think AU released a figure of $38K per year and rising.

No, that is in-state. I know a guy whose daughter just graduated from UA. He requested a school audit from the University and it came back at over $130K. I have heard others in the same situation say that is at the lower end based on if it is a male vs female.

No, Auburn quotes a figure nearly $9k less than that, and the real cost is even lower.

People in the state of alabama have had crazy low tuition for years.

UF's instate tuition for 2015-16 was $6,310, FSU's was $6,507. And students still bitch about it. College tuition as a whole is unreasonable but with these in-state public schools, it is hard to sustain all those colleges with good faculty for cheap.

Easier to sustain a high quality student base and have the flexibility to raise money with fundraisers with a large OOS population, so I get what Bama is doing. Would be interesting to see if the longterm effect might be an improved K-12 public school system.

There are so many things wrong with your statements, it's tough to take them all in.

AU is not close to $38k for one year. I have a child there.

UA is not close to $130k for four years. I also have a child there.

My other child is at a private college and is the only one that will come anywhere near the figures you're throwing around.

You're overstating total cost of attendance by 30-40%.

And how on earth could it make a difference if the student is male or female? Is there some kind of female upcharge for textbooks that I haven't run across yet?

Damn!

And you are complaining about UA's expansion and rising costs? UA's in-state tuition is $10,170/yr + $1200/yr supplies & books then they "quote" living expenses room - meals at $17,052/yr (in reality it's about $10,000/yr) which total's out at $28,500/yr.

Why the hell is AU's in-state nearly $10,000 more than UA?

Can you tell us why Auburn's tuition is more than Alabama's? UA increased enrollment, expanded student housing, expanded academic facilities and has more in-state students than AU but AU's the tuition is still more than UA. Why?

He's been dancing around that issue for 9 pages now. Not only does UA educate more in-state kids, but they do it for less money, both from taxpayers and the students themselves.

Irons has been at it all day in here with this shite. And he is just flat out wrong.

I have a kid entering Jr year at UA, I make the damn payments just like you so we know WTF it costs to attend UA, and you damn sure know what AU costs.

And the male/female statement is just retarded.

Yup. OOS students pay $22,278 extra. FSU OOS tuition overall is $21,673. UF gets a good chunk of state money too so admission policy is geared toward in-state students.
