I know Saban keeps a tight lock on everything happening inside the bama camp, but has anything leaked about the mass exodus of qbs? It just seems weird that every backup is packing up so fast.

Prolly because a true freshman will be getting the snaps for at least the next two years and a 5 star freshman is coming in to back him up.

I can take a guess. There is a true freshman QB who is the starter, and will be the starter for the next two years (barring injury or some other unforeseen issue). There are also new young QBs coming in next year.
Put that together with guys who are at Bama and want to play but likely never will, and boom, guys transfer.

Not really a mystery. Two of them have already graduated (Cornwell has two years of eligibility remaining) and are behind a true freshman. Barnett will be a starter in the PAC12 in 9 months.
Sucks for us, but it's the best thing for all of them, personally.

Guys want to play. One QB plays, and he has more eligibility than all of the others. Not too hard to figure out. Barnett was the only one who bailed without really sitting much. Bateman and Cornwall have been waiting for years. It's just not going to happen here.

Because the process is preached and no position is ever locked down. That's why the players come in and sit behind other five stars because there's always a competition at the position. I just find it weird that every backup is gone, besides the walk-on. I'm assuming he's a walk-on.

True freshman is the SEC offensive player of the year and one of the best 5 star qb recruits in the nation is coming in. Surely you are not so stupid you can't figure out the logic behind this.

Would not be shocked to see other players leave for the same reason of getting playing time elsewhere. I would say they are stacked for years to come across the board. Saban has recruited exceptionally across the board not a knock on Bama just a testament of how good they are as a program

I could see this, just not in an untimely manner like the qbs. I can't get a clear answer on the timing of this from bama fans without the vitriolic attacks.
