Alabama got the itch ... but they're on the 17 year program ...

1992 + 17 = 2009 ... gives them 4 years before they turn carnivorous on Satan ... 2010 ... rumbles after Cam "shafted" them ... 2011 ... real growls and howls after Miles gets 'em in Nov

2009 + 17 = 2011

2009 + 17 = 2026 ...

LSU

2003 + 4 = 2007

2007 + 4 =

LSU is on the 4-year program

since you're the one that went back to 1992. When was the last time before 2003 LSU had a NC?

I don't have any problems with all three fanbases (Bama, Yankees, and Lakers) if they have a direct connection to the school/team/geography. I can't stand some kid from California wearing a Yankee cap or some Florida kid wearing a Laker jersey just because it's cool/trendy. I dispise fair weather fans. Saw a lot of Giants fans last year in in BR. Makes me sick.

Come on Gumps , you have to admit the statue of Saban is a bit cheesy, it almost seems your trying too hard to keep him when you KNOW he's leaving...

I agree the Saban statue looks the worst, not sure who actually made that one but it is horrible looking. but seeing as every coach who won a NC gets one, it wouldn't make a ton of sense NOT to give him a statue, unless we were trying not to upset LSU fans

It has nothing to do with keeping him, of course he'll eventually leave. All coaches do. Every other coach with a statue has left at some point as well. Thats the point of the statue, to remember them and their accomplishments long after they are gone

LSU fans are just pissed he left LSU after 5 years, and now he's in year 5 at Bama... so if he stays here for another year ya'll are gonna get your feelings hurt? I guess he likes us more than he liked ya'll.. who knows. It was nice for him to win us a UNANIMOUS Title with an undefeated season, instead of that 1 loss split title he won ya'll in 2003. Its nice not having to share you championship with USC

I RA'ed and requested an emoticon of a ref throwing a flag with a Bama cap, but they said too many LSU fans would take the easy way out and quit typing their quaint version of English.

So LSU is on the 4 year plan? That must mean they have... 26 National Titles ?

Wait, You mean to tell me they only have 2.5 titles ? And one of those came during a 2 loss season where they lost to unranked Arkansas and Kentucky (yes, kentucky football... i know)

wow thats impressive

Lets look at just SEC titles

LSU has won the SEC a whopping 10 times since 1933:
1935
1936
1958
1961 (shared with Bama)
1970
1986
1988 (shared with Auburn)
2001
2003
2007

So LSU is on the 4 year National Title plan, yet they only average 1 SEC title each decade... interesting

Personally, I hope he stays. We're doing just fine since he left appreciate what he did, put us on the map, but we have our coach.

Though we had a couple rough years, Les took some un warranted abuse. Bad year after losing DC and QB. Both have been replaced, and now an OC in line with HC, all is well.

Enjoy your Saban for many years to come
