Alabama fans, any word on the progress of BB as a qb?

I know it is hard to get a lot of info from a spring game but the freshman kid (Hurt?) displayed a lot of upside.

Strong arm, scrambling, amazing athletic potential.

Is Blake still in the running as well?

Do you think Blake or the other guy has a legitimate shot of starting against USC or is it likely Bateman will be the guy for at least a few games into the season?

Yep, here is live action of Blake during Saturday's scrimmage

TLDR : Blake seemingly hasn't progressed, has perhaps gotten worse. Looked atrocious Saturday.

From what I've heard BB is all but out of the equation and it's down to Bateman and Hurts. All reports from Saturday indicate BB was terrible in the scrimmage, and has been pretty bad all fall camp.

It'll likely be Bateman starting the USC game, and if the hype is to be believed, Hurts will get some playing time and they'll battle it out on the field.

He will not be starting for USC, seems he might have got passed by Hurts. He is a turnover machine right now.

By all accounts, BB8 went all Jeremy Johnson vs. LSU during the scrimmage.

It seems there may be a lot more to his illness last year. He's had two blood transfusions since enrolling.

Holy shite. Hope he's alright. But I think that has very little to do with him sucking eggs in these scrimmages unless the medical staff absolutely thinks it's an issue.

Apparently he's been watching 2015 film of Jeremy Johnson and has figured out how to throw backwards.

So he's a Heisman candidate?

Feel free to use film of Auburn's 2014 goal line offense against A&M during your center's training sessions as well.

From what I've read, Blake Barnett is a turnover machine at practice. It's between Jalen Hurts and Cooper Bateman, with JH impressing but CB likely starting due to his experience and amount of time in the system.

I read all of that on here.

Perhaps since he was fumbling the ball despite him wearing a no contact jersey.

Maybe he'll get better but most 5* QBs in every class don't seem to live up to the hype.

I'm still pissed that they stole the two Heismans that Joke Coker should have won. The system is rigged.

There has been a lot of chatter on boards abut BB's health? that he has some issues? What's the story there?
