the fan base that seems the happiest Kelly got injured is the Bama fans

I would say that it's more that we feel confidence in Lindsay's abilities.

Sorry we don't have that 'the sky is falling' mentality.

Seems like some posters are angry that we were able to put out the flames before they started

And not a single thing an AU fan said was "trashy". UA has some absolutely terrible posters on here.

It wasn't a troll, it was just a very odd thing to hear. You guys offered an explanation, that's how mutual understanding occurs.

I was responding to your trolling Bama fan brother. I didn't see any Auburn fan cheer in here either. It was pretty stupid for him to post that and in contrast I noticed the Bama fans seemed happy that Lindsey will be starting.

Got it. I never stated anything other than a question to why you guys were stating that. I've honestly never heard it before, especially this late in the season. It "baffled" me. Understood now.

knowing the history between the two fan bases and posters on this site, it was a matter of time before the flames were coming. Actually someone did on the first page.

Quit honestly, I don't care if you guys suit up NFL players for the game, and I damned sure don't want any of your players out for the game, so kindly go frick yourself.

Again, no one is happy that a guy that puts his blood, sweat and tears into this program goes down. The initial action to how this would effect our performance on the field was not one of worry because we have more than enough confidence in Lindsey. Some of us also wonder how Lindsey lost the starting spot because the offense really came together after he took over. No one is happy but we are really confident in Lindsey.

Y'all keep up this slap-fighting and soon it'll develop into a rivalry. Wouldn't it be better to put out the flames of hatred now, before things spiral out of control?

There are some weak minded little boys in here. I didn't see one poster other than Elleshoe show joy that a kid ended his season by injury. By all means please repost them for me.

We have two centers that have split the starts this season. We could have a meltdown over the potential loss of a starter, but there's plenty of evidence that Chad Lindsey is a quality center in his own right.

Hell, just for emphasizing the point, I'll repost my own response:

quote:

Hate it for the kid (if true).

Now Bama will be well and truly handicapped by replacing him with a player just as good or better.

Just seems very, very human fans term everything UA with super-human qualities. Starter goes down, "well the back up is better anyway". It just baffles me at times.

If it baffles you, then you haven't been around the CFB game very long. Fans always love the backups, sometimes it is justified sometimes not.

Many Bama fans have questioned starter decisions under Saban since his arrival, AJ over McElroy, Trent over Mark, etc...

Specifically to this case, it will be easy to check the Bama forum dating the time of the initial injury. You will find 90% of Bama fans commenting on wanting the backup(Lindsay) to remain the starter.
